Friday Night Photos More Body's In Motion Edition
Happy Friday everyone. Well, we made it through another week of endless wars, rising inflation, a collapsing economy, and a country on the brink of financial disaster. Not to mention an environment that's slowly burning up the planet. As bad as it is, it's not all doom and gloom 24/7. Tell us what you did this week to put a smile on your face and forget about the doom and gloom. My go to is to get out with the camera and take photos, What's yours?
Other than photography, I love SciFi, supernatural, quirky crime and dark humor (books, tv, movies) and sports as diversions from the doom and gloom. Right know I'm on the 8th book of a nine book scifi series (The Expanse series) written by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck, collectively published under the pen name James S. A. Corey. Governments from around the solar system must come together to stop an ancient alien artifact from destroying the human race.
I wasn't sure what photos I was going to post tonight but since these guys have been hanging around for the last month dripping salt water all over my desk I figured it was time for them to make an appearance.
These were shot on three different days at three different beaches. #1 & 5 were taken at Moonlight beach in Encinitas, #2,3,6,7 were taken at the Ocean Beach jetty and #4 & 8 were taken south of La Jolla Cove.

Now that the surfers have come and gone I can get all that salt water cleaned up.

Junior Brown!
Great pick. Otc and I saw him a couple of years ago at Gruene Hall, New Braunfels Texas, near Austin.
It was a great show by a great artist and an icon here in Texas. His wife plays rhythm guitar in the band.
Here's a video I took back then:
It's not the best video in the world because I had to stand up on a bench a long way from the stage to even see him because of standing room only and I was using my phone to record. Gruene Hall is an iconic venue, the saying among performers is; "You haven't made it until you play Gruene Hall", which has served as a dance hall since 1878, it's the oldest dance hall in Texas.
We got to meet him after the show, he's a cool dude, and that guitar of his is a custom made instrument that's both a standard electric guitar and what's essentially a lap style steel guitar fused together so he can play it in an upright position.
The dude can play.
Hi, JtC
Thanks for the Junior Brown clip. What a great opportunity to meet him after the show. That is quite the rig he has and plays real well.

Have trouble understanding the rush
of surf against the rocks. More than a few injuries must have been the consequence?
Anyway, you captured their overtures quite well. Call me a wus,
but the adrenalin required to pull-off those feats is beyond my ken.
Prefer to maintain an injury-free body at this point.
Do you surf? Thanks for posting!
Zionism is a social disease
Hi, Q
They're not surfing into the rocks, they're surfing parallel to the rocks and were in no danger. I played around with skim boards and boogie boards when I was younger, but I never tried surfing.

Hi Social
Thanks for the ride. The action and moment caught in the 5th image is especially captivating.
I haven’t any photos to add, as my computer has been acting psychotically the past couple of days. I hope it’s not in its last throes. I’m useless on my phone.
At least you only
have a psychotic computer. We have a whole psychotic government. The really sad part is we all know it's psychotic but we can't get anybody to fix it.
Thanks for the Surfaris tune.
