Why Ukraine won't get into NATO
We all know why Ukraine won't get into NATO now - because they are at war. Thus if they got into NATO now then NATO would be immediately at war with Russia. Even Democrat/Neocons on the cable news admit this.
But why don't I think that Ukraine will never get into NATO? Because more than anything else. NATO is a MIC grift, and you can't grift someone who is flat broke. Ukraine can't even afford to pay civil service salaries, how would they possibly afford to pay to upgrade their military to NATO standard?
Sure they could borrow heavily from the IMF and World Bank, but they already do that. They could sell off hard assets, but they are already required to do that just to pay off their current debts. They could continue to get subsidized by by the U.S. and west, but once the war is over I think this will be untenable.

Bad plan
to nuke the world in order to teach Putin a lesson, vs less bad plan to slaughter Ukrainians in order to re-arm Europe and NATO, seems to slide slightly toward the less bad plan at Vilnius. But as Alexander Mercouris said today, that could all change, which made me feel that Biden could call a depressing press conference to inform the American people that we've run out of non-nuclear weapons, so we have to use nuclear weapons, also known as Bad plan, meaning 5 people will survive to eat each other in a radioactive ashtray. But he's sorry, it didn't go as he'd hoped.
For the moment, the photographs make it look like the cocktail party leaders want the cocktail party to continue, at least for a number of months. But if they run out of catered food and drink, that could all change.
