Who won tonights debate? Bernie Sanders
Many polls have come out and other than the GOS poll that predictably went for Warren, all the others surprisingly went for Tulsi Gabbard, including a Washington Examiner poll that they took down but it was too late because Drudge had already photo'd the results.
But despite that, neither Tulsi nor Warren won the debate tonight. Sanders did. 4 years ago Sanders was mocked by the MSM for his stances and today nearly every candidate parroted him. No one parroted Joe Biden the supposed leader in the polls, at least, the polls the MSM actually leaves up and shows you.
If Joe Biden or Elizabeth Warren were actually leading in those polls as we're being lied to about, then why is it that everyone is following Bernie's lead and parroting Bernie's talking points? Medicare for all. Free Education. Raise the minimum wage. I don't seem to recall any of the issues tonight being things Biden has ever championed. Nor Warren back in 2016.
Tonight, they ALL championed Bernie's ideas.
That's Bernie winning right there.

Here's the poll from Drudge
Tulsi got 98 votes on the ToP poll along with lots of snide comments from the kids who for some reason despise her. Might be because of this:
Once upon a time she would have been praised there for doing that because they used to be anti war. Seriously how can people's minds be flipped like that just because they liked the person who was now in charge of the war?
The only thing that would have made the debate better is if Rachel asked Tulsi about her views on LGBT...:-)

I would have loved to see a link to the complete debate here,
pretty tired of reading polls or some 'tussi babbling of how tonights debate will be or has been'.
I liked to have had the chance to make up my own mind of who won the debate by simply being able to watch the whole debate.
Nothing for Ungood. I hate to search for videos of the debate. Sigh.
https://www.euronews.com/live
aahhh, Joe posted the transcript of the debate in the EB
Presidential Debate's transcript
And I guess these are videos from the debate.
Gimme a break, four hours long?
https://www.euronews.com/live
the actual debate starts at TC 57:09
I saved you 57 minutes of superfluous 'babbling' with this comment, you are welcome.
https://www.euronews.com/live
and I hate it if NBC has to cut the debate video
in kiddie-sized pieces, because apparently it's too much for the viewer to simply watch the whole debate in one piece without some smart empty pants hosts putting some sauce on the gulash-sized meat pieces..
And I wouldn't read the foreign press about what they have to say about the debates either.
The Guardian is 'in the know' about Americans who serve in the military, like Tulsi? Since when?
Can I have a public television version of the whole debate in one video without any whizkid to cut it in pieces and add something with their remarks.
I recall PBS as the most fact-based and reasonably documenting TV channel. Has that changed? I can't find it from here(meaning Germany, local time 10:02 am)

According to Google,
the most searched Dem candidate during the debate was Tulsi Gabbard, followed by Cory Booker.

Tulsi could not have scripted a better jamoke to beat up on.
The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?
Go Tulsi!

Pay no attention to those pesky polls!

Wiser minds will tell you what the "takeaways" were, and you'll note that Tulsi Gabbard was evidently not even there!

According to CNN
...no one named Tulsi Gabbard appeared in the debates. It's a little late in the game to expect a democracy.

All I want is for Warren to tank. As someone pointed out, the MSM will hype Warren until she serves her purpose which is to sink Bernie. Then they'll turn on her and support Biden.

Tulsi won foreign policy - sincere, plain-spoken, to the point
and convincing that these wars have hurt America and do the Mideast no good at all. Even Tweety thanked Gabbard for her public service by challenging the Neocons. That, after John Delaney humiliated Rachel Maddow on Russia, Russia, Russia.
Delaney gunned down Maddow in a rapid-fire statement that in his hundreds of campaign stops, the voters have not been talking about Mueller. Bullseye. She could be seen crying blood, furiously crossing items off her list of follow-up questions she couldn't ask after being publicly executed.
Beto, an empty RFK imitator, beat himself, with a little help from Castro.
Altogether, a pleasant evening. I am a little more hopeful. That Pale Blue D is still there on the wall, though. Gotta get rid of that symbol of 2016 after tonight, when we'll see more of it again.
Nice recap.

I beg to differ about M4A
Bernie's M4A victory is ethereal, i.e., made up of ether with the molecular density of outer space (which in the case of Dems begins just beyond the lengths of their protruding tongues). The number of M4A supporters by show of hands was--wait for it--one out of ten! Wow! What fantastic support for Bernieism! I am just thrilled with the strong support Nervous Nancy has given to M4A. To my knowledge, she has allowed introduction of exactly zero M4A bills besides Bernie. And has Bernie's M4A bill been brought to the floor, other than to be swept under the rug?
Tulsi and Bernie won
Bernie won because everyone was talking Bernie's policies... But they don't have his clarity and fire. Tulsi won because no one knew who she was before the debate, and now know that she is a serious, knowledgeable, qualified, relatively young person with great gravitas, and integrity, something that was totally lacking from her heinousness.
I think that Bernie could draw a significant contrast with all of the other candidates tonight. And that is what marketing is all about.
In any event I have to say that these candidates all show significant contrast to Trump. Hrc could not show him up for the dishonest fake that he was because she was just as bad, in some ways worse.
Capitalism has always been the rule of the people by the oligarchs. You only have two choices, eliminate them or restrict their power.
Total agreement, Battle of Blair
Bernie's effect on the 2016 election and the country itself was clearly evident in each and every passionate opening statement. By expressing our values and feelings in the form of tangible proposals and then launching them into a formal political process with the visibility of a major presidential run, Bernie uncorked the needs, desires, and frustrations of a huge (yuge!) portion of the country, and it all spilled out in splendid excess -- immense arenas packed with cheering Americans, most of them very young and energetic, and blocks and blocks of people waiting for hours to get in to hear a white-haired, gruff-voiced old man speak to us where we are and tell the truths we still hold.
It took the establishment by surprise when they thought they finally had the media under complete control, a seamless web of propaganda creating the public reality, the public mind. What they learned is that the people have long been restive despite the manufactured consent and remain so. So they poured their creative energies into controlled opposition websites and organizations and faugressive candidates. They want to stop this thing before it ever gets out of hand again. So they are doing everything they can to defeat candidates like Bernie Sanders and Tulsi Gabbard while promoting those who will pass for progressive while remaining firmly in the global capitalist corral. They undermine all forms of independent media and deplatform progressive voices.
So it's highly unlikely that they will allow Bernie or Tulsi to emerge as winners of this primary. They are as serious about this as they are about torturing Chelsea Manning and disabling Julian Assange. They will do whatever it takes to eliminate truth-tellers.
I think it will require some form of guerilla warfare for all who would stand up for the people. Some way to outsmart the establishment.

Wow. I love your expression, "faugressive candidates," and I hope you use it far and wide. Great comments.
@Linda Wood Thanks, Linda; I like
Are You A Real Progressive Or A Fauxgressive?
Thanks, Linda; I like the term fauxgressive too (and misspelled it in the comment!), but it's not my expression; afaik, it's Caitlin Johnstone's. I first saw it in her indispensable wake-up essay,Lurking in the wings is Hillary, like some terrifying bat hanging by her feet in a cavern below the DNC. Yeah what you said
Well done!
The thing that will show if the election is fair this time is if the media brings back exit polls. They stopped doing them last time because the numbers weren't adding up to the results.
"According to the exit polls Bernie is ahead of Hillary. Wait..what? Never mind."

Lyrics:
I used to dream of daisychains and nothing but the sun
And my pleasure seeking soul, she always had me on the run,
but I caught her in the moment and I asked her why she spun,
she said when I slow down the whole thing catches up.
And I mostly am a wanderer, when I am lost im found,
and i chose to leave the ocean where my sisters all abound,
cause the river she would call to me, her lonely drifting sound,
She'd say we're mostly made of water, we will trickle lazily down
But I'll admit that Anastasia I was following your wild ways,
They had me running to the grave,
We learn of freedom and then we scream it as we barrel down the interstate
Figure we're dying anyway,
So when you ask me where I'm going, I'm not going anywhere,
I'm walking out beyond the wreckage, wreath of laurel in my hair,
I'm walking out beyond the shackles of this heavy load I bear,
Till all my nights are holy reverie, and my mornings are a prayer.
And we will grow in the heart of this age, we will push up through the pavement,
I've seen a garden that grows in a glass jar,
I've seen the monolith lit from within,
And I've seen trees growing over the tree line,
They grow twisted and tough in the wind,
I've seen a garden that grows in a glass jar,
I've seen the monolith lit from within,
And we will grow in the heart of this age, we will push up through the pavement,
I've seen a garden that grows in a glass jar,
I've seen the monolith lit from within,
So when you ask me where I'm going, I'm not going anywhere,
I'm walking out beyond the wreckage, wreath of laurel in my hair,
I'm walking out beyond the shackles of this heavy load I bear,
Till all my nights are holy reverie, and my mornings are a prayer.
