When bombing seven countries just isn't enough

Just the other day I was thinking, "You know, we as American consumers, deserve to destroy more than just seven nations at a time (like Obama boasted). We should be killing innocent women and children in at least eight nations at the same time."
Well, today the Great an Powerful President Trump came to the same conclusion.

The Pentagon is considering a plan that allows the U.S. military to conduct airstrikes on ISIS in the Philippines, two defense officials told NBC News.
...If approved, the U.S. military would be able to conduct strikes against ISIS targets in the Philippines that could be a threat to allies in the region, which would include the Philippine forces battling ISIS on the ground in the country's southern islands.

It's about time!
I was getting bored with only bombing Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Somalia, and Pakistan.
I'm just glad that we are incorporated more diversity in our mass murder.
Sure, we will still be killing poor, brown people exclusively, but now we are bringing our Freedom Bombs to an entirely different culture and region of the world, where we haven't committed war crimes in a century.
With any luck we will soon be bombing North Korea and Iran too. Maybe one day we'll be bombing everyone.

You know what's weird? The rest of the world thinks the United States is the greatest threat to world peace. Bizarre, right?

is there's no bombing of ANY country South of the border. What's the point of having a hemisphere of your own if you're letting innocent people go about their lives without the chance of cluster bombs falling on them?
On the brighter side you might have seen we have boots on the ground in Yemen now with the promise of more to follow.

Are they another creation of our government, the Saudis or any other country? Did the CIA have any connection to the protesters there to set up the upcoming coup like they had in the Arab springs?
This is Robert Parry's take on the situation with Venezuela. Does this country have oil or other resources that we want

Trump Will Now Become the War President

Washington is already raising the violence threshold. The same lies that Washington told about Saddam Hussein, Gadaffi, Assad, Iran, Serbia and Russia are now being told about Venezuela. The American presstitutes duly report the lies handed to them by the CIA just as Udo Ulfkotte and Seymour Hersh report. These lies comprise the propaganda that conditions Western peoples to accept the coming US coup against the democratic government in Venezuela and its replacement with a Washington-compliant government that will permit the renewal of US corporate exploitation of Venezuela.

The easy wars against Iraq, Libya, and Somalia are to be followed by far more perilous conflict with Iran, Russia, and China.

Brennan has been out front with testifying before congress and pushing the Russian interference, hacking and the collision of Trump with Russia.

Joe Kennedy II had a charity to provide free home heating fuel to people in New England. He asked every American oil company for help. All turned him down. Hugo Chavez stepped up with oil from Citgo for years. Venezuela backed out this year, though.

A truth of the nuclear age/climate change: we can no longer have endless war and survive on this planet. Oh sh*t.

I don't see how the American populace would want eight countries bombed: we like our numbers round so it'll have to be at least ten to be satisfactory.

As a kid, I read a fairy tale entitled, Seven at a Blow! It was about a slightly built tailor who had adopted "Seven at a Blow!" as his motto after having swatted seven flies at one time. People who read his motto assumed he had offed seven human beings with one blow, which made them afraid to cross the tailor. That's all I remember. That much seems similar, though.

A close relative married a woman (Catholic) from the Philippines and her entire family, except for her American-born husband and son are still there. This makes me worry about her separation from her family even more than usual--and she is no doubt beside herself.

Bombing nations because twenty to fifty potential terrorists might live in them is heinous. Then again, I non-violent. All war seems heinous and insane to me.

if my four and a half years with a local Peace vigil in a small western NC town are indicative. Over the years, we talked with a wide cross section of people during our weekly Peace vigil and the majority of them wanted us out of all these wars. This cross section included many self described conservatives, Republicans, and even people who had family members in the services.

The only group as a whole (as per my personal experience) that seemed to want to continue the folly of war after war was that of older conservative white males who thought our wanting Peace was anti-American.

The most compelling conversation we had was with a vet who had served three tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq. For him Iraq was worse. He said the US government is lying to its service members and the American people about these wars.

Our nation has become an outlaw state and is being run by a bunch of sociopaths who believe destroying nations, the environment, and killing millions of people is just fine. This is exactly why I could not vote for Hillary Clinton. The empire must fall.

no boots on the ground

On August 8 of 2014, a pair of US jets launched their first airstrikes against ISIS targets near the Iraqi Kurdish capital of Irbil. This marked the beginning of a protracted air war which continues to this day, along with an accompanying ground war which, despite pledges of “no boots on the ground,” quickly grew to many thousands of US troops.
...Yet while Pentagon officials are keen to brag about their accomplishments in the war, mostly centering around having killed massive numbers of people, they are also quick to dismiss the idea that the war is anywhere near over, or that even if it was “won” is some shape or form it would mean US troops coming home.

Rather for many Pentagon officials the ISIS War has been an opportunity to restore the major military presence in Iraq they didn’t want to lose at the end of the last occupation, and officials have been very clear that they view the Iraq deployment as permanent.
