Welcome to caucus99percent. You can write a new diary by clicking the "Diaries" or "My Blog" links in the header or Navigation menu, then click the "Create a new diary" link. The title, body and tags sections must be filled in. All the HTML tags you are familiar with from other sites also work here, you'll find a list of allowed HTML tags below every diary and comment area.

There are no restrictions on diary length or subject so write about whatever you feel like. Initially there are no rules except DBAD, although that may change as the site grows.

If you have any questions please consult the FAQ page first and if your question is not answered then ask here in this diary in the comment section.

Can a new diary be a comment, open thread, chit chat or does it have to be of weight and substance? Per you might want to post a brief explanation so we don't think of a diary in dailykos terms.

I tried earlier to load several photos--avatars I've used at other blogs, without altering the size--and they don't work here.

They're just "fuzzy" colors!

(I wouldn't mind changing the size, except that I don't know 'how.')

Any hints as to how I can make them work here, please?

do you use? I can give advice with Mac, but not gatesware (I've pushed all that out of my mind).

If you want, email me a copy of one or two and I'll photoshop the size and type for you.

Windows 7, that is.

I do appreciate your offer, and will look to take you up on it (if you don't mind), if he is unable to make adjustments (or instruct me, so that I can).

I'll let you know what happens.

(Hope you catch the photo that I posted at the 'Sniper' post. That was my impression--that it was dinner time, LOL!)

Looks really good.

I registered with my real name, partly.

I hope the subject of "American Sniper" continues, I am really interested in that. Heard an interview on the CBC of another American sniper
and I will post a link to that tomorrow.

c-dub, thanks for asking. I've worked my butt off for the last 3 weeks getting this place ready as an alternative site for folks to gather their thoughts about the shit going down, certain other places will be a hell hole as the election gets closer. What does this mean? There is a longer and shorter box. I have diaries in the longer and comments in the shorter. Is this the way it is suppose to be? Sequencing on the far left column? I have comments before diaries. I think I did that. If I did, I don't seem to be able to move them again. I also don't see the thing for the email on the top right hand corner. I checked a box about allowing people to contact me using the "form". Is that the same thing?

thanks for the input, try the blocks now, if they still don't work let me know. You can stack all the blocks in one region if you want, experiment with moving them above and below each other. It doesn't have to be one block per region. You should be able to move them after setting them in a region, make sure you drag the title of the block. Yes, that box in your user settings is where you enable your email, when another member wants to email you they can click your avatar or your username and then "Contact" and the contact form will appear. I just tried it on your username and it works, i just sent you a test email and it said it was sent, see if you got it.

Only two boxes would accept content and now everything appears to be stuck.
Also says on my phone that I am denied access to the dashboard configuration page.
