In just over the first four hours of his 2020 presidential campaign, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) had already raised money from 42,000 donors, a total that bested the number Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) had hit in the first full day of her campaign. The campaign estimated that Sanders had raised $1.2 million in three-and-a-half hours on Tuesday. The figure is another sign of the incredible money-raising prowess that Sanders brings to the race. Up to this point, Harris had been the most dynamic fundraiser among Democratic candidates in the race, having raised a whopping $1.5 million in 24 hours after declaring from more than 38,000 individual donors. That number, the Harris campaign noted at the time, had surpassed the number of individual donors for Sanders in his first day of running during his 2016 bid. Now, Sanders’ current campaign, says they have already received contributions that beat both of those figures.

This site SHOULD officially adopt an anti-Bernie stance. This site made a HORRIBLE mistake last time trying to accommodate the Bernie people, who spent the ENTIRE FUCKING PRIMARY baselessly attacking the Democratic Party.

This time, it should be made clear that this guy, who AGAIN left the Democratic Party, that he’s not welcome in the Democratic party primaries. Because he’s not a Democrat!

Then we had people being called out for being Russian trolls.......

Markos routinely retweets and interacts with this editor. Silence is implicitly sanctioning this behavior. It also raises some significant questions since Markos is back on MTP and MSNBC as a surrogate for “progressives”. What should other guests on MSNBC make of Markos and the site that bears his name?

Is this what the site’s leadership believes the public face of Daily Kos should be?

Is this an indication of where this site stands?

How many editors on this site intend to “fuck Bernie” if he runs?

When did this site’s prominent contributors decide rat-fucking Democratic candidates was part of their mission?

Can DK claim to speak for progressive Democrats if its editors engage in this kind of rhetoric?

Has this site learned absolutely no lessons from 2016?

Can it claim to speak for Democrats at all, if its editors slur prominent leaders in this way?

More fundamentally, what is this site for?

Because if this editor retains his position after these tirades, it definitely does not stand for “unity”.

is just one more example of how terrified the TPTB is of Bernie. At the same time it's laughable that they think that their feeble attempt to slow his donations will have any effect other than to make us more determined to support his campaign. He got my first 27 bucks this morning. Can't wait to see how much he's raised by the end of the first day. Betcha it's gonna blow some minds!
