will make a big difference, along with knowledge about nuclear war and its effects on people and the world, in the perception of war on the part of the American people.
I am old enough to remember the effect of the publication of photographs and film of the holocaust. Before such images were available there was a vague understanding that Germany had had concentration camps, possibly like the concentration camps for Japanese Americans in the U.S., which were also more or less a secret. Photographs and film of the death camps in Europe made all the difference in understanding.

How Many Millions of People Have Been Killed in America’s Post-9/11 Wars? – Part One: Iraq
March 22, 2018
Save
The numbers of casualties of U.S. wars since Sept. 11, 2001 have largely gone uncounted, but coming to terms with the true scale of the crimes committed remains an urgent moral, political and legal imperative, argues Nicolas J.S. Davies.
By Nicolas J.S. Davies
How many people have been killed in America’s post-9/11 wars? I have been researching and writing about that question since soon after the U.S. launched these wars, which it has tried to justify as a response to terrorist crimes that killed 2,996 people in the U.S. on September 11th 2001.
Samar Hassan screamed after her parents were killed by U.S. soldiers in Iraq in 2005. Credit Chris Hondros/Getty Images
But no crime, however horrific, can justify wars on countries and people who were not responsible for the crime committed, as former Nuremberg prosecutor Ben Ferencz patiently explained to NPR at the time.
“The Iraq Death Toll 15 Years After the U.S. Invasion” which I co-wrote with Medea Benjamin, estimates the death toll in Iraq as accurately and as honestly as we can in March 2018. Our estimate is that about 2.4 million people have probably been killed in Iraq as a result of the historic act of aggression committed by the U.S. and U.K. in 2003. In this report, I will explain in greater detail how we arrived at that estimate and provide some historical context. In Part 2 of this report, I will make a similar up-to-date estimate of how many people have been killed in America’s other post-9/11 wars.
It's long so instead of taking up space I only used the beginning paragraphs
and the money paragraph's.
Some have argued that it is not important to know whether our wars have killed tens of thousands of people or millions, since all deaths in war are a tragic loss of life and we should just mourn them, instead of quibbling over numbers. But as the authors of Body Count noted,
“The numbers relayed by the media should in themselves be terrifying enough… But apparently they are still perceived as tolerable and, moreover, easy to explain given the picture of excessive religiously motivated violence. The figure of 655,000 deaths in the first three war years alone, however, clearly points to a crime against humanity approaching genocide.”

The question posed was a bit of rift on the old ways of behavior modification. The teacher would engage the noisy troublemaker directly by using the collective. Can we stop it? Which basically meant stop your disrupting behavior or we (meaning authority) and I will make you stop. Implying the unruly can not win against the system of control in place. No gain. As opposed to the flexible thinking response (which is not supported in education) let's discuss these issues. Perhaps this could be a teaching moment.

which the Bush Admin enjoyed so much and passed around, if perhaps especially the sexual humiliation ones?
On the other hand, they always use anything sex-related to distract from so much far worse and so much of so many horrors were redacted that we now know of, that that might have been the 'lesser evil' offered...
Those behind/supporting/encouraging these war-crimes very likely would at best consider it 'worthwhile', as with the imposed deaths of over a half-million children, and quite possibly also enjoy viewing the suffering, destruction and horror, even if they might, for example, orgasmically rave about 'the beauty of our weapons' because aware that raving over what those missiles will do to other people's bodies, lives, family, friends, neighbours, their homes, societies, food, power and water sources, income sources/businesses, countries, ecologies would still be perceived as grossly and horrendously sick by those not successfully pathologized.
Personally, I'd say that it's those with human capacities who need to see and understand this, rather than those profiting from it.
how many people were killed by our country or indifference? That there isn't any discussion about the number of people who have been killed since just 9/11 is a national shame.

Scientists are concerned that conspiracy theories may die out if they keep coming true at the current alarming rate.
Cowardly lying bastids that started this mess are now the ‘lefts’ new BFFs because they said mean things about Trump.
Both poitical parties are loving this eternal war crap. It’s how they collect from their corporate johns for ‘services rendered’.
So other than taking to the streets, what do we do? And don’t say ‘vote’ please. Because if you aren’t up against the neocons on the right, you pushed to the wall by the neo-liberals on the left.
And then there’s this:
The Daily 202: Ex-CIA officers running for Congress as Democrats
It’s way past time for a third party. We had a great opportunity after the last election but the time is past.

His approval rating is 59%. That shows how small peoples minds are. Just because Trump is an idiot doesn't make George a genius. He's still a war criminal. As is Barry who left office scandal free. Unless you talk about his own war crimes and being the deported in chief who deported more immigrants than any of the other presidents combined. Alas, the country has amnesia about those scandals. But boy can he dance.....

it's where we are being forced ever more. The domestic military and prison wardens have no problem with that. Just makes more money for the fascists. Think it will get ugly pretty soon. Heads bashed in riots, demonstrators locked down in felonies. Fighting the man has never been easy in the beginning. The more they try to suppress, the more people will push back. No win for authority. We will be attacked and beaten for resisting, but it has to stop somewhere. So our kids have a future.
