U.S. Coalition in Syria struck a deal with ISIS
Coalition confirms BBC exclusive: 3500 IS family members left Raqqa and 250 fighters in ceasefire. Convoy stretched for 8km. Deal agreed by "local partners", coalition says it didn't want anyone to leave. Western officer was present at negotiations but didn't take "active part".

No, this isn't conspiracy theory. It's conspiracy fact.
The BBC has uncovered details of a secret deal that let hundreds of IS fighters and their families escape from Raqqa, under the gaze of the US and British-led coalition and Kurdish-led forces who control the city.
A convoy included some of IS’s most notorious members and – despite reassurances – dozens of foreign fighters. Some of those have spread out across Syria, even making it as far as Turkey
...The deal to let IS fighters escape from Raqqa – de facto capital of their self-declared caliphate – had been arranged by local officials. It came after four months of fighting that left the city obliterated and almost devoid of people. It would spare lives and bring fighting to an end. The lives of the Arab, Kurdish and other fighters opposing IS would be spared.
But it also enabled many hundreds of IS fighters to escape from the city. At the time, neither the US and British-led coalition, nor the SDF, which it backs, wanted to admit their part.
Great pains were taken to hide it from the world.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Omar fields falling into hands of SDF could well have been part of a Quid pro quo deal that allowed ISIS to leave Raqqa for allowing SDF to capture Omar oil field after ISIS attacks #SyrianArmy positions. This secret deal has given Russia a propaganda coup.
The United States is providing de-facto cover for Islamic State units in Syria and only pretending to fight terrorism in the Middle East, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Syria has again called for the U.S. to withdraw it's forces, while we are declaring that we won't be leaving.

Why won't you focus on what is important?
The Syrian Gubmint has signed onto the Paris Accords (Lawrence Lewis told me so cuz it's important...) leaving us woefully behind the curve. Bad USA.
Never mind they kill and gas their own citizens. They believe Climate Change!
All is forgiven, we're saving the Planet.

@EdMass The Paris Accords won't
As for the Syrians, we're killing them pretty effectively ourselves, and if you think we're involved in that war, or any war, because we're worried about the well-being of non-billionaires, I wish I had some of what you're drinking. Sounds like its vintage is roughly 1943.

This is well worth your time as Abbey Martin has to be one of the bravest journalists in the world. She is independent because no organization would give her unrestricted assignments that she needs. She is a national treasure.
Jimmy Dore ... well he is smart, ironic and tells it like it is.
The two of them together is just amazing. You will get a sense of why they do what they do and how difficult their tasks are. They are brave independent journalists with no support from the corporations, of course. Try to watch their shows whenever you can.

I do remember
that Syrian warplane shot down awhile back was rumored to have been attacking a column of escaping IS fighters and our military claimed it was too close to American forces.
I'll try to match the timelines.
Sounds about right though. There is IS forces, and there we are watching over them.

The US is protecting ISIS because they are useful
The US wants the situation in Syria to be as unstable as possible. That gives the US leverage to insist that a diplomatic solution in Syria involves the ouster of Syria's President Assad. The situation in Syria is rapidly stabilizing and this runs counter to the US strategy. John Kerry admitted that Saudi Arabia offered to foot the bill if the US drove Assad out of Syria. There is considerable evidence that the US has been arming and paying terrorists in Syria. The latest ploy is to say that the Kurds in Syria are the SDF. This won't fly as the Kurds have found out first hand how effective the US is in protecting Kurdish statehood. More than likely the Kurds will settle for a semi-autonomous state within Syria. Turkey fully anti-Kurd and anti-West and in the Russian camp. Erdogan wants delivery of his S400 air defense systems from Russia as soon as possible. The advantage of the S400 is both that it is superior to US systems and that it will target NATO warplanes. Erdogan knows first hand how the US and Saudi Arabia funneled arms and dollars to destabilize Syria as they used to be partners in this dirty endeavor.
No way in hell is US presence in Syria legal. This is outright imperialism. Syria says - go home. There is no UNSC resolution to cover this. Syria and her allies are handling ISIS just fine. The US excuse to let ISIS soldiers escape is "humanitarian reasons". This has got to be a joke. The US never does this. What happened when Iraqi troops were leaving Kuwait. They were slaughtered by the US airforce. What happened near the end of the Korean war. The US killed another 200,000 North Koreans and bombed them flat. What happened near the end of WWII. We firebombed German cities. We dropped two nuclear bombs on Japan. There were endless accounts of gratuitous killings of military and civilians, collective punishment. So now the US makes the unilateral decision to allow ISIS fighters to spread out in the ME, from an area that the US has no authority whatsoever. If the world ever wakes up we are in for a lot of shit.
