Tuesday Night Massacre
The Looming Trump v. Clinton Debacle by William Rivers Pitt http://www.truth-out.org/opinion/item/35810-tuesday-night-massacre-the-l...
Because the media loves a trainwreck, a Trump/Clinton match up is a M$M wetdream:
The two parties have been devolving into one fixed entity for a long while now, and the two leading candidates are perfect avatars of that phenomenon. Add to that the fact that the media lust after this match-up.
The Republican Party has been cultivating fear and loathing for decades.
The Democrats, for their part, have been in full moral retreat over those same decades, fleeing the legacy of FDR and their own alleged principles to such a vast degree that a candidate who voted like a conservative every time the chips were down is about to grab the brass ring.
Once again William Rivers Pitt nails it: Conclusion: "What a pluperfect mess."

It would be much more fun
If one of these... persons... was not likely to emerge from the cage match as (and I air-quote this part) "Leader of the Free World."
Oy.
Wait...
...sorry, I had to throw up at that image of a debate over the future of America between those two. I'll be fine. I'm okay.
Bernie is a win-win.
Staying positive for Bernie.
We're still on track to win the nomination.
"The “jumpers” reminded us that one day we will all face only one choice and that is how we will die, not how we will live." Chris Hedges on 9/11
I hope Bernie does win the nomination
Nothing could please me more. Bernie will benefit from a significant party/candidate on his left.
Here in California I am hopeful that Bernie will carry the state. I also do not believe Jill Stein will seriously affect the outcome of the Democratic primary. I look forward to helping project a forceful political narrative from Bernie's left to keep him centered in the GE.
There will be considerable rightwing pressure from the Democratic establishment.

Go Bernie go!
Go Bernie go!
So long, and thanks for all the fish
