Trump in a different context

This is my first essay as an exile from Daily K. I started there in the early heady days of Barack Obama. Now, with a view of Donald Trump as future antagonist to either Hillary or Bernie, I would like to share the view of one of my heroes Professor Ugo Bardi, from the University of Florence.

Professor Bardi places the Trump phenomenon in the context of a democracy in a world of resource depletion, where the center is being squeezed out; another version of the disappearance of the middle class that Bernie talks about, and Trump placing himself as the enemy of the elites and the one person who will be the savior of the oppressed and dispossessed classes.

Here's the link to his analysis:

I might suggest that it could have been improved had you provided further discussion as well as an analysis of prof. Bardi's argument.

There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know.

When I look at the great and growing divide, I want to break it apart. When there is talk of secession, why not? If the south or Hillary people want to live life as a cage match, I don't want to stop them. I just want them to go do their thing and leave me alone.

If anyone can bridge the gap, it would be Bernie. Welcome to c99.

Once watched a program that the guest was a psychic. It was shortly before GW Bush got elected. So she was literally on there for her prediction of the election. She predicted he would win.

She went further to show a map of the USA and predict we would break up into 6 different countries. For Oregonians the California part of Jefferson was included in the Northwest along with Idaho and Montana.

I have thought about it often these past months as the primaries unfolded. Because for the first time I see the distinct fissures between the various cultures of the country.

They seem to fall along the very lines she had on her map.

Trump is skewing the graphs. Perhaps a more sincere policy analysis will occur. I hope some of his mafia connections and labor screw overs get some light too. While we're at it lets get in his poor money management skills and the way he treats workers and everyone else.

in the known world - the US Treasury. I have long thought he kind of longs for such a thing, for the fame, or infamy, alone. A know nothing blowhard finally openly elected to office as such, and who'll see the US through the biggest bankruptcy in history and drag the rest of the globe along with it. Trump might do it fast, but HRC would do the same, she's just do it a bit slower and lie about it a LOT more.
