Tin Foil from the Terriers

Sorry if this seems a little late to the party, but the renewed investigation ("not reopened!") led me to go back and take another look at
Huma Abadin's deposition to Judicial Watch, around page 35 or 36, where she says that she provided her clintonemail.com address to colleagues so that they could contact her to send her a document or a schedule when Hillary/Huma couldn't contact the state.gov site, "particularly if we were -- we were overseas."

Oh boy.

So, let's see. Blackberries normally used the 3G phone networks. You are in a place ("overseas") where you are not in control of the phone system or of any points of the network outside your current four walls, if even there. You try to get your mail using the approved, secure site (state.gov) but something goes wrong and you can't connect. Damn phone! Damn state.gov! So, you switch to your other phone and/or your other mail site which might not be as secure but is easier to connect to, and get your mail there, because your people know to send it to both places, and not many people know about it anyway so it's probably safe.

Me 'n the boys've had a lot of laughs over this one. No wonder the intelligence community had a cow. Even if HRC weren't keeping classified material at home, she was likely spewing it all over capitals and hotspots around the globe.

Thinking as a much-ballyhooed foreign actor, something comes to mind: Rather than bother intercepting HRC's (and entourage) state.gov traffic (although it certainly was) and working on decryption, (although Canada could read anything sent on any commercial BlackBerry, and why would they be the only ones who could?) it would have been orders of magnitude easier to simply interfere with the state.gov traffic -- say, a phone version of DNS poisoning -- and let HRC switch over to a more reliable email site or means of communication (like a personal Blackberry, not hardened for official use), one that coincidentally was easier to intercept, one that perhaps would lead us to sites or machines not well protected, where we could ....

Golly, am I the King of the Run-on Sentence or what??? Smile

Now I'm not saying anything like this really happened, but this is something script kiddies with a few back issues of 2600 magazine could just about pull off, let alone a government with real resources. Hell, a local police department with a StingRay could do it. Actually, they do do it, but that's a different sheet of tin foil.

EDITED to fix broken link.

absolutely had to access overseas, keep in mind that channels are not secure at all times, and let the rest wait until back home.

Do they have half a brain between them?

Chelsea and team were in China on Foundation business and she had to wait until they got back to talk about anything important because (wait for it) their phones were hacked from the moment they got there.

So today I heard

Chelsea and team were in China on Foundation business and she had to wait until they got back to talk about anything important because (wait for it) their phones were hacked from the moment they got there.

National Security is one thing that it would be inconvenient to safeguard but Fundation business - worth real money to the Clintons - must be kept secure!

Edit to remove an extra dash. Must have been running from snipers with a cloth, or something.

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.
