I want to think it will work, and refuse to fall into the "it never has worked" crowd. There is a time for everything.

When there’s little difference between actual governance of both of our Duopoly Parties, there is little reason to worry about “diluting the vote”.
More choices = more hope.

@humphrey
but the certainty is that both the Republican and Democratic Parties will NEVER serve the interests of the people ahead of their own interests.
Better to try and fail than to idly stand by and watch the nation continue to crumble, don’t you think? I’m open to other suggestions, but at the moment I can’t see a way forward that does not directly challenge the roadblock of the current duopoly.
We need more and better parties. If that can’t happen, there is little reason to hope for any meaningful change.
I have my doubts that his methods will lead to overall success.

We all need to educate people in our circles about this new party.

Nick has the correct priorities in mind. BUT!
I have my doubts that his methods will lead to overall success.
I understand having doubts about possibilities,
but the certainty is that both the Republican and Democratic Parties will NEVER serve the interests of the people ahead of their own interests.

I'm with you...
We need to push to get on them on all the state ballots and begin recruiting and presenting candidates. Two years will pass quickly.
The clear bullet point platform is helpful...

I want him to try.
I do not know any other way.
