Tim Kaine Corrects Hillary On The Hyde Amendment

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine seemingly contradicted the assertion, made by Hillary Clinton's campaign and his own spokesperson, that he would work with the nominee on restoring Medicaid funding for abortion.

That was quick:

In an interview with CNN Friday, Kaine said, "I have been for the Hyde Amendment. I haven't changed my position on that." He then repeated it: "I have not changed my position. Have not changed my position on that."

What does Cecile Richards think about that?

Planned Parenthood Action Fund president Cecile Richards also pushed back at Kaine's stance, though in milder terms. "Planned Parenthood Action Fund will redouble efforts to educate Sen. Kaine on the dangerous impact Hyde has on women with public insurance coverage," she said, adding, "While we strongly disagree with Senator Kaine on this point, there are many places where we do agree." Kaine, she said, "stands in stark contrast to Mike Pence and Donald Trump."

So now we know that Planned Parenthood will support candidates who favor the Hyde Amendment because . . . IOKIYAD!

Kaine is a Blue Dog and Hillary is, well who the f knows what she is or what she does and does not support since she has been on both sides of many major issues.

Then Richards campaigned for Clinton.

I simply can not support Rapepublicans. Even when they wear pantsuits and have a D behind their name.

Yeah, I changed my will

It's complicated; would only go into effect if my son were to pre-decease me, but I thought I should have it in place. It was: local food pantries, Planned Parenthood, and MoveOn. First I took out PP when they endorsed H. Then MoveOn shifted from its endorsement of Bernie at a crucial point to focus completely on being anti-Trump, so I took them out. Now it's only the food pantries. They're completely non-political, although they amazingly tolerate my Bernie pin when I volunteer there.

Senator Kaine should be ashamed of himself.. A woman's right to autonomy over her body is a fundamental Democratic ideal, for fuck's sake.

These Third Way "Democrats" do absolutely nothing for me. The Democratic Party is inherently corrupt.

...this was the major headline for U.S. news with over a thousand related articles on my news aggregator. two hours later it was gone. it was like the Clinton campaign didn't that headline broadcast. poof, it was gone.
