Saturday Evening Post
I had to bail off of my perch on Lookout. Caught the big bird over the pond, and I'm on the lookout in a different world. Over the last few weeks I've been trying to think about the big stories of the week. It is so easy to get lost in the day to day. I've published those as the weekly watch. So this evening I'm asking you to help me sort out the big stories of the week – will you help with the weekly watch? Post your view of the week (or anything else of importance or interest) in the comments below. Help me to catch up when I get home. Thanks!
Here's the original cover of the first issue -
And a few good pieces I caught before I left (I'll embed the first one because it is worth the watch)-
On this week’s episode of On Contact, Chris Hedges sits down with economist Mark Blyth to discuss the detrimental ramifications of austerity programs following the 2008 financial crisis. (26 min)

Protests lead to a temporary halt of the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline; however, it came at a price. What happens next - Jimmy Dore has some ideas. (12 min)

This is an open thread - what's on your mind?

Kasich working with Obama on the TPP.
Orin Hatch indicates it isn't off the table in the lame duck. The TPP is a key to the Asia Pivot and the imperialists plan to neuter China and Russia. We know Clinton is lying. They know they probably can't get it done with a new Congress. The next few months are crucial.

The Goldman Party At Work
Goldman Sachs was one of the investment houses Obama auditioned for back in 2007. Kasich had been a director of Goldman. That they would collude in undermining the sovereignty of the United States in favor of the greedy bastards destroying the entire world just so they can individually be richer than Midas should be coming as no surprise.
Vowing To Oppose Everything Trump Attempts.
Thanks for the Chris Hedges video
Learned a lot, specially about Europe.
The political revolution continues
Thanks for the link to the Hedges video--off to watch it, now!
Sorta got a bad headache this evening, but wanted to drop by to thank you for your essay. Hopefully, I'll have a contribution to the comments, next week.
Hey, cool TSEP cover! We recently found photos very similar to those, of family members, including my Father as a young child [on an 'ancestry' website]. Judging from the infant in the picture (an Uncle), whose birth date we know, and who was 'the baby of the family'--it was circa 1912, or very early 1913.
It was a real treasure to find those photos. Now, I've got to see if I can transfer them to a phone, and get prints.
Safe travels, Lookout!

NYC Bombing was many hours ago and nobody has tried to
blame Putin? Does this signal a shift in the stock narrative, or are they thinking that people are getting less and less willing to buy that one?
