RIP CS

I've been watching for an obituary and could not find one but I did find this. I'm almost positive this is CS in AZ (Lauren). She was a lovely and brave lady. Her last post here was on July 22.

I hope her passing was painless and easy. I often play this Dylan song at funerals...

More than one, Lauren. A bucket full of tears from me. Thank you for touching my life like you did.

It looks like she touched so many people’s lives and is remembered for her kindness and I hope that brings some comfort to her husband, family and friends that must miss her dearly.

My brother used to say that life is just a test for us to learn how to love and then we move on.

In memory of those who learned how to love and then lived that lesson and then moved on….

Sorry to hear of this. Crushes me heart. Watching the good ones voyage beyond.
Perhaps it's for the best? Leaves grief for the rest of us. To learn from.

She never wanted to meet face-to-face. I bugged her a bunch of times, back when I was doing meet-ups. She never wanted to, I finally gave up.

@Azazello I invited her to lunch when I had a layover in Tuscon. She thanked me for the offer, but said she would be busy.
I wish she had taken me up on the offer.
She is not suffering. That is the blessing.

I have to begin letting go now. This place and the virtual community and friends I’ve found here and the mental workouts here have all made a huge difference in my life. Thank you all. I do not know how much time or ability I will have to check in again. Saying goodbye felt important. I wish I could find the focus to speak to some of you more personally. But I can’t. Please be well and take care of yourselves and each other.

remembr item. I see it indicates that she lived 6 more days after her goodbye post, we can only hope that it was peaceful for her during that time.

For all the many times we talked in private messages on DKos and here, we never exchanged last names. I was feeling like she was gone, but had no way to get closure, so this has really helped.

I've already talked about my special online adventures with CS and how much she helped me deal with the harassment at DKos, so I won't go into it again.

Having a face to look at now is a special gift.
