Bruce Springsteen did not insult Donald Trump on Twitter, then sign off with the pro-Clinton hashtag #ImWithHer.

CLAIM: Bruce Springsteen called Donald Trump an "asshole" on Twitter, signing off with the pro-Clinton hashtag #ImWithHer.

FALSE
ORIGIN:On 28 September 2016 the partisan and unreliable web site Occupy Democrats published an item titled "Springsteen Was Criticized for Bashing Trump. His Response Is Perfect," claiming the above-reproduced rude tweet had been issued by musician Bruce Springsteen:

However, the tweet attributed to Springsteen was a fake. Directly next to all tweets on the @Boss1949 account (connected with the misspelled name "Bruce Spingsteen") is a short bio indicating the true nature of the Twitter account:

Not a famous rock star. And DEFINITELY not Bruce Springsteen. Nuh-uh. (satire)

I find myself ...

in the awkward position of arguing the case for Trump sometimes. The Washington Post and Slate in particular are notorious for taking something he said and either totally misconstruing it, taking it out of context, lying about what he said, or framing the "factcheck" in pro-Hillary terms. I don't even like the guy, but I hate news organizations that lie and mislead even more.

I don't even like the guy, but I hate news organizations that lie and mislead even more.

That's my argument for Trump. The rest of the media is so unified against him, the same media which colluded with the DNC to boost Clinton over Sanders and propped up Trump in the Primaries as a straw man to be taken down in the General, that I see it as huge populist endorsement.

The myth of this election is that Trump represents "Big Business." Meh. He represents himself, his own best interests. Which may in fact be better than someone who has to answer to the best interests of their corporate overlord. He ain't no WalMart or ExxonMobil. He wants to bring jobs into the U.S., which I strongly believe is against the other guys' wishes.

Just kidding... thanks for injecting the truth hecate, even if it's disappointing. A lot of people are so horrified by Trump that Hillary seems almost decent in comparison, I guess. I can sort of understand that, because Trump is disgusting and a complete moron, no doubt.

But he likes her? Thinks she'd be very, very good? Oh well... he's still a decent singer and songwriter.

In that article he also says I don't think people go to musicians for their political points of view.
So yeah. There is that.

Welcome to my little slice of Hell! Most of my loved ones are still convinced that Ms. Clinton is LOTE, and they pound me over the head with it day and night. Eliminate the stylistic differences and make both tell the truth about how they'd really wield the Presidency, and I utterly fail to see the daylight between them.

Interestingly

At Gillette Stadium earlier this month (I was fortunate to be there), he said nothing about either candidate -- only that this election has been the ugliest he's ever seen.

I was bracing myself for a public endorsement of HRC but it didn't happen.

He may have said that, and he probably did. He campaigns for Dems (usually). What I am writing about are the two famous tweets where he was supposed to have said "I'm with her" which he did not nor did he call Trump an asshole.

Those two 'tweets' were passed all over the place by Shillarites who were just bustin' their buttons with pride because of them. In fact, they were saying he 'endorsed' her, which he did not. And everyone calls Trump a moron, so why would it be surprising if Springsteen did it as well? He seems smart enough to know one when he sees one.

the idjits who made shit up about Springsteen twitting that The Hairball is an "asshole" and signing off with #I'mWithHer, didn't at all need to do so, because, in Reality, he called the guy a "moron," and said "I like Hillary. I think she would be a very, very good president." I mean, isn't that enough? ; /

It's sorta like how, since The Mad Bomber is so manifestly unfit for office on so many Real grounds, the Fristian Phrenologists, they do not need to be making shit up about various medical/mental conditions/diseases, that they wish she had.

(Also, as for "what one thing has to with another," if you'll check your own link, which you cited for the debunking of the "asshole/I'mWithHer" business, you'll note it includes several quotes from the RS piece wherein Springsteen accurately identifies The Hairball as a moron, and also says: "I like Hillary. one thing it MUST include every statement he's ever made? I didn't even comment on how Springsteen feels. He usually campaigns for the Dems. This time he isn't. Should I have thrown that in? Do you have a set of posting rules and guidelines that must be met to satisfy your criteria?

Sure, he's right about Trump being a moron--damned if I'll ever dispute that--but he's sorta clueless about Hill in that general assessment, in surely more than one way (including, but not limited to, the state of her physical health).

I disagree that Trump will be worse but his rhetoric is worse

and that gives the perception that he is worse.

Unfortunately perception for those who don't investigate for themselves is reality.

So Trump by perception is worse.

Please understand that you are extremely informed individuals and you are brilliant critical thinkers BUT, you are a super minority.
