Permafrost : It's Happening

Consider this your "Doom of the Day".

This video came across my feed this evening. I don't know who is behind this channel, but I watched this video and didn't find anything dodgy in it. I learned a few things.
I would have posted this in an open thread, but it's the end of the day and most people wouldn't see it. So give it a watch and see if you too can learn something new about permafrost and greenhouse gasses.

from filmmaker Werner Herzog.

Unfortunately NZ’s agricultural industry contributes greatly to the problem of methane. I hope this forever-going battle between agriculture and environment in NZ takes a positive direction.

Thanks for the video.

People who live in those areas are reporting. The reason they did not include the inpact from methane in the ippc report was that there was no hard data. This is exciting. Thanks for the video.

@Lookout
feedback loops depending on who or where...

But they all depend on each other and when one goes it triggers the others. One of the contributors to the ‘hot house earth ‘ study last year said it would be like a domino effect and she also said - like a nuclear explosion.

Thanks for the links. Off to read ‘em...
