Official Secrets film strikes home.

My husband and I saw the film, Official Secrets, yesterday, about British whistleblower Katharine Gun, who leaked secret information during the lead up to the Iraq war. I thought the film was very good, strongly stated, and clear in bringing out thuggish warmongering by the U.S. and British governments. I hope readers of C99 will have a chance to see it and to support the courageous filmmaker, Gavin Hood, at the box-office.

The existence of the surveillance operation, understood to have been requested by President Bush's National Security Adviser, Condoleezza Rice, is deeply embarrassing to the Americans in the middle of their efforts to win over the undecided delegations.

The Iraq war was of course done on false pretenses which isn't news to anyone here. And it wasn't just planned after 9/11 which was Rumsfeld's Pearl Harbor excuse. The PNAC neocons wanted Clinton to start the war, but he was busy fighting his perjury charge. This was the start of the Middle East wars for Israel so it could be the only superpower in the Middle East. And we know that it was the first of 7 countries that we would overthrow and install our puppet government. Millions dead while Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld and so many others are walking free. Nancy couldn't impeach Bush for war crimes because she and other democrats knew about the torture. Obama had to look forward so he wouldn't be prosecuted for his war crimes. Of course it's more complicated than this, but it's a place to start.

So far Trump has not attacked Iran which is the last country standing up to Israel. Well Syria is still struggling against our plans thanks to Russia and Iran.
