New Line of attack on Jill Stein: She's a Liar.

Jill Stein called out the DNC for their bullshit platform.

Specifically the section which claims to want "Universal Health Care", but then flies right back into every single weasel word they can think of to NOT do it. "Work with States" "Expand ACA" "Fixing Medicaid Gap"... everything possible to AVOID any possible commitment to actual action that doesn't favor the corporate slime itching for more of your money.

Instantly the push back is that because of the Headline in the DNC platform, Jill Stein is a liar, therefore, anybody who supports her is clearly supporting a liar.

Once again, it's a classic example of Rove's tactic in action, which is "Accuse the other side of that which you are guilty". Expect MANY more quibbles over Dr. Stein's statements, with ANY disparity from exact quotes of the other side taken to be lies. Expect any Exact Quotes to be accusations of theft of her opponents ideas.

This is such a transparent smear campaign it's almost a parody of itself. First accuse the candidate, then when the supporters fight back, accuse the supporters until one of them gets pissed, then claim the supporters reflect the candidate.

Same shit they did against Bernie, and you'd THINK they would have noticed that people catch on EVENTUALLY.

They can "want" whatever they want in platform boilerplate. Bernie Sanders campaigned on true universal health care access and they treated him like Pol Pot for it. Screw them.

If you READ the platform, there's a nice little section on page 34 that has the Headline:
"Universal Health Care"
The section below bears as much resemblance to the labeling as a box of starving crazed weasels labeled "Bear Claws"

One's made up of Fearful, Corporate Worshiping Sell-outs, and the other Nominated Trump?
Fashion Sense?
One Panders to the Uninformed and Ignorant, and the other Panders to the Misinformed and Elitist?
One will sell you out for a dollar, and the other will do the same but say they feel REALLY bad about it.

of low to moderate income get to the convention. When I asked about how it does that, I nearly got laughed out of the office. Apparently the 'help' that is offered is the statement written in that document. Interesting: they claim to do it and then take credit for the claim without offering anything.

Perhaps most troubling for the Clinton supporters gathering in Philadelphia this week: 68% now say Clinton is not honest and trustworthy, her worst rating on that measure in CNN/ORC polling.

Well at least they have moved on from trying to smear Jill Stein as an "anti-vaxxer." Probably that charge was too easy to debunk.

Now they want to play games about the meaning of the term "universal health care." That’s so 2008. The bait and switch eight years ago was they really meant a universal mandate to buy crappy insurance. Barack Obama actually campaigned AGAINST the individual for-profit private insurance mandate and FOR the public option, then ultimately delivered the opposite of that and wanted a thank-you!

We need Medicare for all.

I'd like to see a Universal Health Service, bundled together with a military reform and budget cut. Essentially, using the military clinics as a starting point for the Service, much like Britain did after WW2.

Yes, It's not being discussed but somebody should bring it up, IMHO.

That kind of apathy is sad, but understandable. It's been proven TRUE as far as R and D go for decades.
All the positive motion seems to have been made outside the political spectrum, until they could no longer ignore it, and signed some laws, then claimed credit.

that FSC's Camp is mostly concerned about keeping Stein's poll numbers in check, so that she doesn't wind up on the debate stage with FSC.

(not sure what the number is that she needs, maybe 15% by current debate rules)

They're likely banking on FSC blowing Trump out of the water at the Debates, to tip the election in her direction. Stein could throw a wrench in all that, if she picks up enough traction.

Seriously, this is the thought I've had recently.

We might actually be looking at the first Presidential Election with NO debate between the main candidates. If Dr. Stein And Gov. Johnson's poll numbers keep going up, the odds are very good they would have to be included in the debate.

Do you seriously think Hillary would HESITATE to back out of the debate, claiming that it isn't legitimate due to their inclusion? Trump would, in a heartbeat.

If the rigging of the polls isn't enough, (Which they've already started on) that may be the solution to making sure the 3rd parties don't get in the debate... just don't have one.

Gary Johnson doesn't scare the Clinton campaign, because they figure he'll take more votes from Trump than from her. But they know perfectly well the danger of mass defections of pissed-off Berners to Stein, so they're pulling the same Brock crap with her that they did with Bernie. Trouble for them is, those drawn to Stein have already seen this trick, and we're wise to it. Their efforts are likely to backfire on them. What was the phrase from the primaries? "Shit-stained boomerangs?"
