another soggy one. Had 0.7" again yesterday. Supposed to dry up later this week, and cool off more next week. Been playing 5-6 pick up sticks cause limbs are scattered everywhere.
Fall crops coming on, but I guess my lettuce seed was too old. Got to buy seed and replant.

Good morning Lookout. You're way ahead of me, we're
still harvesting tomatoes. I did finally get around to planting a "row" of carrots in one of the beds, plus attempting to get 2 more Portuguese kale growing in the same bed too. They produce a ton of greens per with cut and come-again harvesting so I'd really like to have 2 or 3 mature ones in the ground at all times. Our Apple tree has been raining fruit for a couple of months, so we';; get started picking rsn just to make sure to save some. We prefer to pick in Oct, they're sweeter then.
I love "5, 6 pick up sticks", and will be adopting it. Not too long after we moved in I planted two redbuds, front and read, for nature based thermo-regulation of the house, and they do that in spades. It is part of their colonization process.

Quinnipiac Polling phoned me
Last night on my cell phone. That is a very extensive poll! They were polling about the presidential election. First, they qualify you. They are looking for registered voters who will vote in this election. My guess is that in regard to the approve or disapprove questions and how strongly, virtually everyone here would have answered as I did. The poll took at least half an hour. Your answers are recorded and determine what some of the further questions will be.
At the end, they get demographic information. (They are clever, ask your birth year instead of your age.) And once again attempt to ascertain that you will be voting for president in the 2020 election. Last question was an opportunity to comment. I’m sure some here would have had enough to say to fill another 15 minutes. But I was tired by then.

Today Biden said that he is not banning fracking. Here's the reason why that is acceptable with the climate already on fire:

Our cool down is here. High today is 78 with low this morning 52. Tomorrow 76/44. This will last for 2 days. Usually high 70's is comfortable in the spring and fall, but not in the summer when it has been in the high 90-100's for weeks. I remember coming home from CA where it had been over 110 at 6pm in Sept and freezing my tush off and being laughed at because I started the fire in the basement. I will enjoy these 2 days, but might have to turn the heat on in the convertible. Charlie will love it tho.
