The largest worker strike to take place in decades in America is entering its second month. And surprise, surprise - You won’t hear a damn word about it on the mainstream media. Lee Camp hilariously gets into just how insanely terrible, like MEDIEVAL terrible, Verizon is treating its employees
Is it time to shut them down? What can we do to help?

Start by dumping verizon!
There are alternatives.
Verizon also has terrible customer service
I went to Credo Mobile (nonprofit, really liberal or progressive or whatever the non-debased term is now), and am happy with them. They use Sprint lines, so you're not out in the wilderness. Cut my phone bill significantly, and they treat you nicely.
I really hated Verizon, as a customer, and that usually correlates with how they treat their employees.
Glad you wrote on this.
I own
Verizon stock. Voting is just happening. The proxy says to do what the directors say; which includes nothing for workers and approval to give the higher-ups a pay raise.
It fucking stinks.
The more people I meet, the more I love my cats.
I trust you'll do the opposite of what they tell you?
Love your sig line and pootie, BTW.

Corporatist Labor Management
Hillary's donors and the Kochs won't be satisfied until they have the right to own their workforces as property. They want us to beg for any little crumbs the elites might choose to give us.
But as a union worker myself, labor is its own worst enemy. More of my local membership votes Republican than not, and then bitches at the union when the newest contract is more take-aways than gains. Drumpf has more open support among them now than does Bernie.
This is what we get for letting Reagan gut PATCO.

They went after the Left in the McCarthy era
including in Union leadership. The survivors were cowed, and then Union "leaders" started to get rewards for being docile. It actually goes back farther than Reagan. Now the "leaders" lecture their members on "management rights."

I think the only reason this strike has gotten any press
Is because Bernie insisted on making it a campaign event.
God, how I hate how the "news" is done in this country.
