Judge denies Nunes access to secret depositions on Steele dossier
Whoa whoa whoa! Don’t we have three (3) separate branches of government to make sure we don’t have secret courts and secret charges against American citizens?
Judge denies Nunes access to secret depositions on Steele dossier
The chairmen of two congressional committees, including House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Cal., who sought sealed testimony in a South Florida court case from key players in the Trump-Russia investigation ran afoul of proper procedures, a federal judge in Miami said.
The federal magistrate judge rebuffed those efforts on Sept. 5 but the reasons why and other details had been shielded from the public — until now. A transcript viewed by Miami Herald and McClatchy reporters shows that the judge felt their effort threatened to overstep congressional powers, but he left the door open to consider a request made through proper legal channels.
“I really need the Senate committee and the House committee to come here and explain to me why it is appropriate for them to obtain these [sealed court] documents,” Magistrate Judge John J. O’Sullivan said, before denying their request to release two crucial depositions taken in a Miami lawsuit related to the federal investigation.
Such a follow-up request does not seem to have been made in the nearly two months that have passed. The efforts by the chairmen to step into a civil lawsuit underscored the bitter partisan warfare engulfing Washington.
Nunes and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, in August tried to get a federal court in South Florida to turn over a transcript of the videotaped deposition given by former British spy Christopher Steele.
Maybe I’m mistaken but of ALL the people involved in this mess Steele’s depositions need to be provided to these committees. This deposition is of far more importance to Grassley & then they are to those involved the the Buzzfeed defamation lawsuit.

The reason why the dossier
The reason why the dossier was published was because Fusion GPS gave it to Michael Isikoff so that he would do that and then the FBI could use it to start its investigation. Even though they were already involved up to their eyeballs in it. Then there's McCain's involvement with it and he gave it to some congress member. Forget how John-boy got his hands on it.
If I'm understanding this correctly Steele is being sued for defamation by Gubarev and Nunes and Grassly want the testimony for their investigation into Steele's role in creating the dossier? It appears that the judge might still let them have it, but first they have to follow procedures. Is that right?
BTW. When will Trump decide to give congress the unredacted copies that they requested a month ago? This seems to have fallen off the radar. Or did Trump make a deal with democrats or the FBI to not release it because it shows how the U.K. intelligence agencies were spying on him for the FBI? I'd think that Trump would do anything to get the truth out and show that this was just made up by Hillary, the DNC and the FBI. Obama said that he would have used it if Trump had lost and didn't accept the results.
What a tangled web that's been weaved.

Interesting article on Seth Rich
Why does the NSA have 32 pages on Seth that are marked top secret and secret?
I have said all along that if Russia did hack the DNC computers then the NSA could show proof of it. This is another thing that Trump could do if he wanted to put Russia Gate to bed. He can get the NSA to release the files that show that it happened. This is just one of the many things Trump can do to blow this bullshit up. Why hasn't he?

32 pages you say? Marked top secret?
Well that’s VERY interesting.
Thanks for the link!

Yeah, Seth Rich and Shawn Lucas
Two young DNC staffers (I think Lucas was also, served the lawsuit papers to them at least) being part of a disgruntled faction of folks who were on to the corruption of the DNC.
Seem to remember Rich also readying himself to testify on a panel that was going to look into voter fraud or suppression or something. Apparently he was very idealistic about the Great American Democracy, but working inside he had become disillusioned.
Irks me tremendously to have mentioned his name to a friend who I didn’t think would be a MSM/MSNBC $hillbot and that person just laugh and dismiss his significance.
The blanketing propaganda is fierce. Such a heinous thing that otherwise smart and progressive-minded people could fall for this shit. Guess when they don’t see it on the sanctioned media outlets it is immediately verboten to them.
Everything comes back to the machinations of the mainstream media.

The Presidential order to declassify basis of a FISA warrants
for surveillance of key Trump campaign staff has made no headway either. The people running this country, and I’m not referring to elected officials here, simply ignore Presidential orders when it suits them. It both amazes and saddens me that so few people see the terror of the situation, even when the dysfunction is so blatant.
