Janna Jihad Ayyad - The struggle for Palestine through the eyes of a child.

I have been following the weekly protests in Nabi Saleh, Palestine for many years now, and that includes Janna since she was very little and started with a cell phone. Same goes for Ahed, Rand, and Marah and their parents, uncles and aunties, cousins and friends.

Janna gets straight A's (I have seen her report cards). Her English goes from good to nearly forgotten back to good again, most recently I think she has some tutoring. I have watched her films of any number of atrocities committed in her village and surrounding West Bank and I have to say, she is one brave BRAVE little girl. She appears now and again on Arabic TV, and is featured (with Ahed and Rand) in a documentary "Radiance of Resistance". She should serve as a model for USA protesters.

If anyone has any doubts about how the Black Lives and Indigenous Peoples' Water Protector struggles relate to Janna, and Palestine's struggle, her videos should erase any questions.

Janna and her family and friends are 100% genuine and deserve our attention and support. She is not a paid shill, but a real girl with true reporting from her village. If you want to feel how Israeli occupation feels to an unscripted real Palestinian child, follow Janna on Facebook.

Here is a video mashup she put up about a half hour ago. Has English subs and I recognize a lot of the clips. I told her she should forget CNN and Fox and that she could already get a job as a correspondent for RT and Telesur.

Note: Lately in Aleppo is another girl about the same age, but I (and others) have our doubts that she is "real" I am sorry to say. Beware of politicians (CIA etc.) using children as shills.

Instead of a disordered, chaotic immigration program, Europe should systematically import these people, as should the US. There will never be a good life for them in the West Bank and Gaza, and their human potential will be thwarted at every turn. Middle easterners are loathe to ever leave their land, which is fully understood, but open-ended, voluntary emigration should be encouraged, it could be a safety valve to defuse tension.

I don't see any other solution.

A knock-on is that when the Palestinian diaspora thrives, support will decline for Israel's excesses, and also, israel will have fewer motives for excesses in the first place. I've been an advocate for Palestinian independence my entire adult life, but I don't see any future there. For every small gain, there will be a hundred small losses. Give it to them, and then what?

to ethnically cleanse over 4,000,000 people in the Gaza and the West Bank. Wouldn't it be more sensible to send the Israeli land thieves back to Europe and the USA?

Part of the issue is that these people have nowhere to go. Heck, even paying them to leave would be far cheaper than continuous war and conflict for 70 years. Look at the settlement map, the West Bank is effectively gone, and even though Israeli courts will hem and haw this way and that, know that eventually they will get everything there.

The Palestinians are screwed, there is no other possible conclusion.

They've done well here, they'd make good citizens, and once they are, they'll vote. Think about that.

There are 600,000 illegal Israeli "settlers" (land thieves) in the West Bank. You propose to move 4,000,000 indigenous Palestinians in a giant diaspora and completely destroy their homes and culture to accommodate the Zionist aliens???

That is insane.

Let me propose that the USA and Europe put a blockade on Israel until they follow all the UN Resolutions, Geneva Accords and have trials for the numerous war criminals, and a truth and conciliation program. I might also propose a sort of bi-national state of Palestine which assures safety, human rights and equality for everyone. As it is now, the UN should be in there enforcing their resolutions and protecting the Palestinians from IDF terrorists, which is exactly what they are. Not formulating a "voluntary" (how can you say "voluntary"?) ethnc cleansing.

IMO. This is the only viable future for Palestine.

"Hand in Hand is a microcosm of the future of our society and the state itself. It is based on a recognition of shared identity, history and a culture and a recognition of the importance of mutual equality without any connection to a future political solution – be it in one or two states. The principles of this microcosm is applicable in both instances." - Hand in Hand's Community Director, Mohammed Marzouk

Both The Israeli and Palestinian lets live together movement is probably stronger than we might imagine.

I am highly disappointed with the response to this essay and the NoDAPL Day of Action one posted yesterday by BlazinAZ. Like I have been saying, its time to forget Clinton, Trump and the rest of the Corporate Police State goon, including the silly Clinton should be President protests... and IMHO organize/resist with specific positive goals.

NoDAPL, Palestine, and BlackLives are intimately related.
