I'm New Here - Where is my lawn to keep you kids off it_

And there is something else - but I don't remember - oh yeah, I don't like non-text emoji's. I'd show you kids what a real old-fashioned all-text emoji looks like - but they'll just turn it into a low-budget cartoon.
Actually, I think I may like it here. Not much orange. And do any of you remember those orange compressed 'peanuts?' Why would children be given orange semi-cardboard 'peanuts' at holiday time? Did somebody in the family dislike children that much...
Oh well, I'll look around for awhile. Gotta watch out for those orange 'peanuts.'
best, john

Thanks
I presume cats are welcome also. Your three pictures - two are happy, one has had a tough time. Is that pair on the left a 'before' and an 'after' of the same dog?
best, john
Strange that a harp of thousand strings should keep in tune so long
Heh, he presumes that cats are welcome, heh

Absolutely cats are welcome! ;-) Yes,
that is a screenshot of the same dog. I made it from a "Save Our Street Dogs" video.
'Barabas' was one of the oldest dogs that the (Singapore) organization has ever rescued. He had been severely neglected and abused for over 12 years.
Dogs there have very few protections. Apparently, it is legal in some circumstances to kill them (with bow and arrow) for food.
SOSD healed most of his wounds--including much of his skull and one ear, which had a maggot wound so severe that the bone cartilage was exposed.
He started to suffer from severe arthritis; but passed peacefully at the age of 14, after having been cared for in a loving home and at the kennel, for almost 18 months.

Please, feel free to 'show off' you fur babies, too! There are many animal lovers in this Community.
From time to time, I post animal/human event stories at Joe's Evening Blues series here, which runs from Monday-Friday, usually posted between 2-4 p.m. Joe's excellent posts mostly feature 'news and blues,' but he's open to us posting on a wide range of topics. Hope you join us there, some time.
Hey, nice meeting you this evening!

Welcome!
What happens when your lawn turns orange... you call this guy.
Progressive to the bone.
Please look around, welcome, and enjoy.
I hated those orange peanuts. No orange anything here.
