I’m gobsmacked,

because I find myself agreeing with something I read on Zerohedge.

A former US Army psychological warfare officer says that Tucker Carlson was fired by Fox News because of the regime’s agenda to maintain an “uninformed semi lobotomized quasi retarded population.”

Spot on. I won’t link to it, because I’m generally not a fan of any of Fox, Carlson, Zerohedge, or the Regime. But I found this amazing, just the same…

Now, where’s my Brawndo?

I might disagree with the reference to Idiocracy.

I see our current situation more along the lines of the Carpenter "They Live" but a less collective effort on the part of the regime.

When I did my usual wandering about when I see some interesting tidbit of knowledge that I hadn't seen before (ref: The Usefulness of Useless Knowledge: A 1939 Manifesto for the Incalculable Rewards of Joyful Curiosity, https://www.themarginalian.org/index.php/2012/07/27/the-usefulness-of-us...) the info on They Live said it was inspired by a short story "Eight O'Clock in the Morning" by Ray Nelson.

You can buy or rent your own personal copy of that short story from a myriad of outlets, none of whom actually paid any part in the creation or support for that story.

Or you can obtain a copy from Library Genesis. BY the way, They Live is available from archive.

Fun diversion to maintain blood flow to the brain. Thank you.

The pentagon is also happy that he’s off the air for now and I bet a lot of other people and corporations are just as happy. I posted the Greenwald episode yesterday that covers this. Worth a watch.

Funny comments from people who never watched his show, but think he should have been gone long ago. Why? Because others told them how bad he was…

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

I thought it was an interesting piece, and have I been reading Zerohedge as well as this blog for years. I really wish people would stop self-censoring based on a website's or news outlet's "reputation" among those whome readers consider like-minded. That's where critical thinking comes into play. At this point it seems more than obvious that one is much more likely to find truth well outside of all of sources that predominately support the approved Establishment narratives.

@Bring Back Civics

based upon any perception of a website’s reputation. I simply state that I’m not a fan, if in fact I’m not a fan. Any website with a signal-to-noise ratio below a certain level falls into that category- especially when the noise has a large enough component of gun fetishism. Zerohedge, regrettably, falls into that category for me. “Kill-them-all” rightwingism simply isn’t my cup of tea.

But your mileage will most certainly vary. I’m very grateful that other people read there, find value, and occasionally link in useful things, so that I don’t have to spend any time doing so myself. I’d never have seen that if it hadn’t been flagged to me by a friend, for example. So my surprise was quite real, and the wording of the post was equally intentional.
