Hillary, thy name is.... (Part Four)

Part Four of this series* about Hillary's hypocrisy in relation to bigotry (bigotry being only one of the things about which she is hypocritical and/or deceptive) continues with Hillary's Senate years.

Speaking at a church in Harlem, junior U.S. Senator from the State New York, Hillary Clinton, compared being minority members of the United States House of Representatives to--wait for it--being slaves on a plantation. Could any politician who is the least bit empathic reach the age of fifty plus without once trying to imagine the life of slaves on a plantation? Could anyone who once tried to imagine the extent of the misery of those slaves make such an outlandish comparison? http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/01/17/clinton.plantation/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoKT6djIfNM

The attempt at damage control by Hillary's "camp," i.e., those Clinton fans with whom Hillary chooses to surround herself, was also far out in right field. It consisted of politiciansplaining the already painfully obvious: Hillary meant that Republican House majority leadership was stifling discussion by Democratic members. Duuuuuh.

Hillary's problem was not that her audience was too dense to grasp that she was whining about Republicans (as usual). Her problem was that a very highly-privileged, white, U.S. Senator and former First Lady, both of the United States of America and of a former Confederate state, equated some of the most well-compensated, pampered and powerful people in the world with Southern U.S. slaves before Emancipation. ("Plantation," my ass. They spend lobbyists' money, our donations and most of their time, for which we pay them, trying to get themselves re-elected or elected to higher office or otherwise feathering their own nests. http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2013/10/20/10-perks-congress-has-t... http://caucus99percent.com/content/hillary-thy-name

Inasmuch as Hillary befouled herself with this bizarre correlation while speaking to an audience consisting predominately of her black constituents, I must assume that her freakish false equivalency was an attempt either to pander to her audience or to have them identify with her. Good grief! But.....how does Hillary Dolezal Clinton, daughter of Hugh Ellsworth Rodham and Dorothy Emma Howell, get to play the slavery card in any context, anyway? Isn't it bad enough that she attempted to appropriate a black hymn and tries to sound black when speaking to black people, an idiotsyncrasy (sic) that she attributed to her "interracial marriage" and her years living among the most elite Arkansans, including the Waltons in Arkansas. http://famouskin.com/family-tree.php?name=15627+hillary+clinton; http://mediamatters.org/research/2007/09/12/accusing-clinton-of-mimickin...

What's that? You say that the plantation remark was not really racist, "merely" incredibly clueless, tone deaf and exploitative? I consider all attempts to pander to black people, no matter how smooth or clumsy, to be racist; and that particular comment would have been racist even if said to her husband, tête-à-tête. But, okay, I'll give you that one, egregious as it was. Well, then, how about Hillary's hyperbolically Hillarious reference to the late, great Mahatma Ghandi?

I love this quote. It’s from Mahatma Gandhi. He ran a gas station down in St. Louis for a couple of years. Mr. Gandhi, do you still go to the gas station?

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/01/07/nyregion/clinton-apologizes-for-gandhi...

Whisky. Tango. Foxtrot. Gee, I wonder what it was about the Mahatma that prompted Hillary to say that? His sacrificial fasts and imprisonments? His selfless leadership against discrimination and colonialism? Is that what gas stations in St. Louis immediately call to mind? Ironically, Hillary invoked Indians running gas stations in St. Louis to introduce a quote that is attributed to Gandhi all over the internet, but that is not actually traceable to him. How very "generalistic" of her! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fasts_undertaken_by_Mahatma_Gandhi http://www.snopes.com/first-they-ignore-you/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1Mq8kOXV_E https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/generalist; https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/generalistic

After Hillary's gas station hit the fan, she tried to redeem herself. However, she took responsibility conditionally and only for not being great at stand up:

I have admired the work and life of Mahatma Gandhi and have spoken publicly about that many times,'' Mrs. Clinton said. ''I truly regret if a lame attempt at humor suggested otherwise.

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/01/07/nyregion/clinton-apologizes-for-gandhi...

First, how on earth is "Do you still go to the gas station, Mr. Gandhi" humorous, even lame humor, and even if said about someone who hadn't been assassinated to death decades earlier? Second, a bad "knock knock" joke is "a lame attempt at humor." Hillary's mind boggler, however, was nothing other than a weird racist, xenophobic, banality. And, once again, the clueless, "sorry, not sorry" non-apology missed the real point (which seems to be a pattern in her attempts at damage control). The issue was not whether Hillary admired Gandhi. The issue was Hillary's stereotyping by race and immigrant status and thinking that's okay, even humorous, until after the blowback smacked her mouth. Sadly, in the process, she trivialized the memory of an icon who was so far braver and greater by the time he reached the age of twenty than she ever will be.

All collective judgments are wrong. Only racists make them.

https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Elie_Wiesel

As said in closing of Part Three of this series, so much Clinton bigotry, so little attention span. Part Five will continue with Hillary's Senate years, including her infamous "racially-tinged" campaign against the first African American to have a realistic chance at being nominated for President of the United States by one of the two largest U.S. political parties, including how her 2008 primary campaign begat the abominations of birtherism, delegitimizing Obama's candidacy for the Presidency and PUMAism.

*Part One of this series, prompted by Hillary's hypocritical Reno speech about Trump's racism and anti-Semitism, dealt with Hillary's early years, about which we know essentially only what Bill and Hillary have chosen to tell us; Part Two addressed her time as First Lady, when both Clintons were under intense investigation/scrutiny and she was very guarded; Part Three dealt with some of the anti-gay rights deeds and speeches of Bill and Hillary Clinton. http://caucus99percent.com/content/hillary-thy-name; http://caucus99percent.com/content/hillary-thy-name-part-two ; http://caucus99percent.com/content/hillary-thy-name-part-three

(Thank heaven, my humorous remained intact.) At any rate, I think the hospital did check me out for a concussion because I did report possibly passing out after my head and my arm and the rest of me hit the floor.

Once these spineless courtiers get the official memo, it's all off the table.

"It's Her Turn." Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump.....

I think it's our job to catalog all of this stuff, who the worst offenders were, how they defrauded the American electorate, how they lied and deceived, covered up and obfuscated, blacked out the candidate drawing huge rallies and millions of volunteers and donors while they propped an Emperor's New Clothes candidate who is loathed and distrusted by the majority and hid away from the press.

We'll need to keep creating a record here for posterity of this truly insane upside down epoch. Because the sanctioned gatekeepers of history in the corporate lapdog MSM can not be trusted whatsoever.

I can't believe people still watch these shows. I tell everyone I can to get rid of cable tv. Subscribe to independent journalists you can trust and watch online. Same with websites, newspapers and radio. Turn off all corporate-owned barking; it's all bought and paid for propaganda.

MSNBC was all R all day, from Don Imus in the Morning (who, being a paleo was the least worst of the Republicans on that network at the time), to Scarborough Country to Tucker Carlson, etc. Then, Matthews would say things like, "I'm much more conservative than people think I am." During the transition period between Republican MSNBC and Centris Democrat MSNBC, Matthews said, "I voted for Bush both times and would do it again...if he were running against the same people." Of course, that was before Obama sent a tingle up Matthews' leg and Hillary was worthless. Then Hillary was his dream candidate. His shilling could not possibly be more obvious.

I think MSNBC was starting to transition back to Republican under the theory that it was going to be the Republicans' turn, but when Trump started looking like the Republican nominee, they put the brakes on the transition. Certainly, they were all in for Hillary in the Hillary v. Sanders battle.

As for Maddow, the role she plays is the furthest left person on MSNBC. This comes in handy for MSNBC when they want to bring in another Republican regular like Steele or Medved (who was gone very quickly--guess he didn't work out for some reason.) They introduce him or her through Maddow, who expresses her respect and calls them "Sir." And having been anointed by MSBNC's furtherest (sic) left cast member, they become okay for a supposedly Democratic network to have on the payroll as the loyal opposition. However, she undermined Sanders, too. She was just more subtle about it.

My personal litmus test? No liberal crosses a picket line during a righteous strike. Maddow and all the other talking heads at MSNBC did.

She has cited Republicans as the people she most loves to hate. So, how is her ad showing Republicans saying they cannot support Trump a good thing?

I think liberals need to stop demonizing Republicans and start finding ways to work with them on an issue by issue basis. However, I also suspect politicians who say one thing when they think it wins them votes to say it, then say something else. Either Hillary thinks Republicans are bad or she doesn't. Which is it?

Thank you for posting that video. It contains a lot to unpack. Bottom line, though: Hichens was correct in everything he said. And, with Hillary, the issue is very much "The more you know....

Whenever you learn something new about Hillary, it's never good, unless it's something from her past that she puts out there and that no one can either verify or disprove. This is why, aside from her lack of charisma and her annoying personal qualities, the more exposure Hillary gets, the lower her popularity, honesty and trustworthy ratings go. Among many other things, she's a grifter on a global plutocrat level, which may make her the One World Order Grifter Queen.

Thank you as well for the kind words. Always very much appreciated, especially on a message board. As for my name, two things:

1. I wish I had not been too lazy to look up Wallace's middle initial when I registered at KOS. Had I registered as HenryAWallace, I could "sign" my posts HAW! (with a hat tip to Jeb!, of course).

2. If I had looked into Wallace's life post-1948 more closely when I registered at KOS, I might not have chosen him at all. I knew he had become a billionaire (back when a billion was really a billion). I was kind of glad about that since I am anti-greed, not anti-making money and I was happy he had been vindicated in some way. (Hell, someone has to make money to donate to liberal causes, rather than to centrists.) However, ....more recently, I learned he had also disavowed at least some of the views for which I had admired him. So, if I were going to take his name at all today, it might be YoungHenryAWallace: When a VP is too liberal for FDR's tastes, he was probably my kind of guy.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

Here is a representative modern version of the lyrics:

What are little boys made of?
What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails
And puppy-dogs' tails
That's what little boys are made of

What are little girls made of?
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice
And everything nice [or "all things nice"]
That's what little girls are made of[1]

The rhyme appears in many variant forms. For example, other versions may describe boys as being made of "snaps", "frogs",[2][3] "snakes",[4] or "slugs",[5] rather than "snips" as above.

I was actually thinking about people who've made references to the consumption of watermelon and fried chicken (have read about some, took ages to get my jaw back up off the floor) apparently under the impression that it's some sort of Black culture thing and therefore somehow bad and Hillary, who's OK with mayors covering up police murders of People of Colour and thinks they're fit for public service. Not sure if she's a 'people' or not, seems more like an (semi-)ambulatory corporate creation at times.

Edit: was using that as an example, actually, to hopefully be more clear. Leaking pissed-off-edness these days, I'm afraid.

I consider all attempts to pander, no matter how smooth or clumsy, to be racist;

Not quite true. Race is only one thing to which the likes of Hillary Clinton panders. There are numerous other panderings she's done routinely in which race isn't involved at all.

Example: TPP. The "gold standard" of equal-opportunity clusterfucks. Ships jobs out of America regardless of race, creed, color, sex, age, orientation, national or ethnic origin..... and she was all gung-ho for it until the Presidental camPAIN of 2016 was underway, and then the pandering began.

Now, for Cat's sake, don't get me wrong here: the examples you cited in the Essay are racist as hell!! I just don't want them to be diluted with the race-non-specific panderings she also tosses out like penny candy.....
