for this unscheduled chat?

They didn't talk about Benghazi either, I love how the News is trying to create the unspoken idea that "they talked about Benghazi but they MUST BE HIDING SOMETHING because she says They didn't talk about Benghazi!"

They DIDN"T talk about Benghazi. If I had to guess, I'd guess that was Bill, either strong-arming or threatening Lynch if she prosecutes Hillary. Which tells me that mayhaps the woman was actually considering it.

Why is this guy allowed to do this? I don't care if he USED TO BE President. This is outrageous.

First two minutes: Mindless chatter about kids and weather.

Then -

AG Lynch: Mr. President, we have a rather big problem to discuss.
Big Dog: Yes, let's get down to it.
LL: The problem is Director Comey.
BD: Yes, go on...
LL: Well, I'm just going to lay it on the line. Comey has finished the FBI investigation and has asking that we indict the Secretary on about half a dozen misdemeanor charges. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop there.
BD: Please, continue.
LL: The FBI is also asking for about the same number of felony indictments.
BD: You can't be serious!
LL: I'm afraid that not only am I serious, I am also saddened to inform you that it gets worse. Toward the end of my meeting with Director Comey, he informed me that the Bureau is taking all this quite seriously. I have to tell you that Mr. Comey stated that, should charges not be brought against Mrs. Clinton, he intends to resign and have a very public statement to make explaining his resignation. He further stated that several hundred FBI agents would resign concurrent with his resignation.
BD: Oh, my!
LL: There is another thing that needs to be brought to your attention, Mr. President.
BD: Yes?
LL: Director Comey - shall we say - mentioned your name, especially in conjunction with the Clinton Foundation...
BD: (Cough) Well....
[Silence for about 20 seconds.]
BD: You know, Loretta, we wanted to talk to you about some rather earth-shattering news. You might as well be one of the first to hear it.
LL: Yes?
BD: No one yet knows this, but Hill is in rather poor health. It's a lot worse than we ever thought.
LL: No! I am so sorry to hear this!
BD: In fact, it's bad enough that she has decided to withdraw from the presidential race.
LL: No! Please tell me it's not true!
BD: I'm afraid it is true. We've only just recently found out.
LL: I will say this, and I think I can speak for the President and even Director Comey, we certainly do not want to cause the Secretary any anguish - no more that she's already facing with her health issues. I'm quite certain Comey and his agents would immediately back down upon being informed of this development. In fact, I can guaranty it.
BD: Thank-you, Loretta. I was hoping you'd understand, considering the situation.
LL: I hate to cut this short, but my press people are waving over there that I have two minutes before a scheduled presser. I really must go.
BD: So nice to talk to you again, Loretta.
LL: You, too, Mr. President. Please pass on to the Secretary that she is in our prayers.
BD: I will.

Hell, for all we know a big brown envelope was passed between them. We'll learn soon enough.

I know many don't, but I still have a little faith in the FBI. Not a lot, but some. Further, Comey is no fan of HC; he's had her slither away more than once already. If it weren't for the involvement of Comey and some - hopefully honest - FBI agents, I would say it's a done deal. Comey is the wild card.

That is exactly what they want you to think. Took me most of the day to mull this over and finally it dawned on me that the Clintons deliberately set out to see if they can get 1) Lynch disqualified for a grand jury or 2) and most likely, seeing if people--meaning Sanders's supporters-- will demand a special prosecutor versus going through the AG office. Why? It is a delaying tactic. As long as she is not tied up in court with those optics, she figures she can snag the crown and then be pardoned.

I hope they (we) don't fall for it.

Loretta Lynch used to the the USA for the Eastern District of New York; she also used to be on the Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. That's a pretty terrific launching pad for a very lucrative career of post-government payoffs from Wall Street.

Bill and Hill are, uh, well-connected on Wall Street, and it's beyond reason that they would fail to use that to lean on Lynch to stuff any requested indictments in her bottom desk drawer. Sure, maybe she's just flying in to kiss the ring, but to be seen in public? This was some heavy shit going down.

If the Clintons can get people riled up thinking there was impropriety (it was for him to do this, but not on her part) then they very likely will demand a special prosecutor. Can you think of a better delaying tactic than that? I think we should take our chances with Lynch rather than delay a trial/indictment until after the election. And it must be coming soon, if the Clintons are going to all this trouble to disqualify Lynch.

the most disgusting people ever to be involved in public life. Their corruption and sense of entitlement knows no bounds. Bill Clinton has tarnished the office of President in ways that no other President has and he has absolutely zero sense of shame. I want these people out of public life and far away from the reins of power.

Bill Clinton has increased his sleaziness over the years. His actions during the primaries were a nasty stain on the office of President. And I believe that Hillary will outdo Bush in the war department. She actually seems to love killing people.

The Clintons are not 'intelligent'. Look at all the obviously stupid things they say and do and the obtuse hamfisted way they carry their actions out. They're about as subtle as a sledge hammer to the forehead. Slick Willie showing up at primaries blocking voters and trying to influence them. Or sneaking a meeting with Lynch on an Arizona tarmac. Does anyone think we'd know about that except for the luck of them being spotted? But then again, since they were spotted, how ignorant was that to pull that shit? It may not matter to Clinton fan club, but it sure does to ANY concerned with the rule of law and the ethics involved in same, although I think that crowd is growing smaller and smaller by the day.

They're far more cunning and sly than they are intelligent. Slick Willie was a Rhodes Scholar. Well BFD. You can teach a monkey to light a stick of dynamite with a match, but that sure as hell doesn't make it a demolitions expert.

You could have a great career as an insult comic.

You are probably correct, they are more instinctual and cunning than intelligent. Much of what you cite as examples, though, I would submit are more arrogance than stupidity. They are obvious and ham-fisted because they don't think it will matter, and so far they have been proven correct.

I should have said they are more intelligent than W. A very low bar indeed. One exceeded by probably more than 90% of the population. That idiot as a successor makes nearly anyone look good by comparison.

At best it's a conflict of interest. At worst, it looks like they're conspiring to derail a federal investigation. How do they expect people to have faith in the justice system (or them) if Hillary gets off without charges after something like this becomes widely publicized? They're not even trying to hide the corruption anymore.
