Goodbye Philly, it was nice to see you - sort of

Hi all. I am leaving Philadelphia today. My daughter who was with me on this adventure has come down with a very bad virus and I need to get her home.

My best day here was the day of the People's Convention. Met a number of fabulous activists who are determined to carry on the fight. One thing we definitely need to do is stop the TPP from being brought up in the lame duck session of Congress after the election. I will have more to say about this after I get back home but please check out the FlushTheTPP.org website for more information. We can't let the Dems get away with this. Force this into the next Congress.

Second observation. We must do all we can to get Jill Stein and the Green Party poll numbers up so they have to include her in the debates. She is the only left/progressive voice left in the race and we need the public that only tunes in to politics during a Presidential election year to hear our voices and and present the case for policies that neither Trump nor Hillary will discuss much, if at all.

Finally, it's been a privilege just to be here at what is an historic moment in our Nation's political history. I want to personally and publicly thank Alison Wunderland for all she did to make my stay here possible and for al her help in directing two very lost souls through a confusing to us city. Ally, all my love to you for being such a great friend to my daughter and I.

Went to FlushTPP and found Tony Ziegler's article!

It is an excellent article. It was first posted on The Progressive Wing, then updated and reformatted, published at dailykos and then posted on the FlushTPP web site.

YES! YES! this is a winnable fight and a must win fight to slow down the coup. The coup has happened as we see the democratic faction kissing the ass of the corporations and oligarchs, but the TPP will provide hard to change legal cover for the coup.

The coup has already happened. If you wanted to slow it down, you should have started 80 years ago. Yes, the oligarchy needs to manufacture a little consent to ram the TPP through, but that's the new normal.

There was an attempted coup in 1933, or so it is said (solid proof is understandably lacking, since unsuccessful conspirators scatter like roaches when someone turns the lights on). It came to nothing because they picked the wrong figurehead (one Smedley Darlington Butler, who ratted them out to Congress like a patriotic American).

It took the pro-corporate forces at least a decade to regroup.

Last night every American who thought some politicians were different, learned the hard lesson that they are all the same.

And like me, many had finally come to accept that there is no political solution to our mess.

I will vote for Trump, as he is likely going to be the opponent that is poling best against Clinton.

The democrat Party is broken beyond any hope of repair, and it must be taken out of power. Sorry to say, that I will not be supporting any candidates with a D after their name, because what was once called the "party of the people" is no longer that. It has become the greater evil, the party of war and corporate interests.

I have to agree

Except I cannot vote for Trump. I just switched from democrat to working families party here in Oregon. Cannot BELIEVE how corrupt the dem party is. Suppressed votes, whited out ballots and shredded ballots( in San Diego), switched party on voters -there is no end to the corruption.

Extremely dissappointed in what Sanders is doing. Absolutely will not vote for a Clinton - that is a vow that extends to Chelsey should she ever want votes.

So out in the wilderness now. At least it is real. America, America how did we lose you?

Me too. Beyond time to cleanse the Democratic party - no more DLC, DINO's, Clintons. Long time til election day, much may change, more wiki leaks, CGF exposed, we can only hope!

Please give your local Dem candidates some consideration!

Many progressives followed in Bern's footsteps and are running for office on the Dem ticket. If they made it past the primaries, please vote for them! We need progressives in office whether they have a D after their names or not.

Of course, some will be "progressive" in name only. But please judge on a case by case basis. I would hate to see allies go to all this work and expense only to lose because Bernie's people deserted them.

I will consistently vote for no incumbent. Fuck 'em all. With Congressional approval rating of less than 10%, what's the harm?

We should have listened to the tribes here upon invasion.

They have multiple generations who would agree that even what we thought was ours, worked to own, cared for, respected,
