Quite a life, Al.
Neither Russia nor China is our enemy.
Neither Iran nor Venezuela are threatening America.
Cuba is a dead horse, stop beating it.
Can't complain. I was just thinking about how I got
It's kind of funny that as a nation "we" celebrate July 4th
as independence from tyranny and yet considering revolution now, a real revolution, not the fake one back then, is largely met with ridicule, even scorn. Part of how we've been trained and conditioned to reject anything the deciders have decided we must do. It's like 9/11 or the JFK murder, the deciders have decided we must not talk about 9/11 or the JFK murder. So we don't.
It's not the deciders.
It's the decoder rings that have gone bad.
Can't read mine anymore.
You?
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
I lost it with my baseball cards.
This time it would be met with bullets
…if it was at all disruptive to the status quo and started changing public consciousness. WE didn't militarize our local police departments for nothing.
Back then, we revolted for self-determination. WE don't believe in that anymore. Just ask the Crimeans or the ethnic Russian majority population of East Ukraine. They'll tell you. WE didn't install a NeoNazi government there, for nothing.
What do you mean by "a real revolution?"
I think back then it was still rich versus rich
Except maybe the French briefly, when they
Indeed
The Romanov Solution.
It strikes abject fear in the aristocracy.
Neither Russia nor China is our enemy.

& Noam Chomsky
The New York Times prints an interview with Chomsky. His writing is right in step with CC99, right down to the shenanigans of the Clinton team to stop Bernie.
He says our two greatest dangers from the Trump regime are climate change and nuclear conflict.

To thine own self be true.
@MarilynW
So, the same as the Clinton regime? Still wondering how many Jill Stein votes were flipped...
Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.
A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.
is that all ?
Any different with Clinton? Though Trump is against use of reason on climate.
We may not have much time left to f**k around. It really sucks that these people can destroy us all. Big error in our organization.
I am afraid we will not make it.
boy oh boy.
I'm sorry you didn't read the article
You would have noticed that he called the "Democrats" Republicans.
It's easy to "shoot from the hip" when you don't really see the target.
To thine own self be true.
Actually he is much more optimistic
about reforming dem party than many c99ers.
refers to the "success of Sanders campaign" as the most important event of election year.
say the dem party "can be rebuilt as a progressive force".
many here would say that the crushing of Sanders movement by the Party was the take-away lesson.
my original comment was snark, really. Furthermore Chomsky never says clinton would have been better on foreign poicy.
don't see your point really.
by the way I don't find a "dems are repubs" quote.
