Cozy Cole - Topsy Part 2
Tonight's Evening Blues Weekend Edition will feature Jazz, Bop and Rock Drummer Cozy Cole.
He burst into the awareness of most of my generation with his 1958 rock single: Topsy Part 2
Cozy Cole - Topsy Part 2
I was eventually to learn that Topsy was an "old time" Jazz hit, and that Cozy had performed it in several of the bands and groups that did it back in the day. In fact, he played with the likes of Billie:
Billie Holiday & Her Orchestra (with Cozy Cole) - Billie's Blues
Satch:
Louis Armstrong - Stomping at the Savoy (Cozy Cole Drum Solo)
and Cab Calloway
Cab Calloway (feat. Milton Hinton, Cozy Cole, Rudy Powell) - Get With It
See you tonight for a lot more, including more rock too.

Hey, it was fun, thanks for the chance to sit in.
That, in its essence, is fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. -- Franklin D. Roosevelt --
Irony

As you might imagine, people were outraged. Here's one example:
I had to comment on that. I agreed with the comment and then added: I totally agree that killing innocent civilians with an assassination program is terrorism.
That's what makes the United States the King of terrorism.
Thank you!!!!!!
I have been saying for a long time that the US is the single greatest terrorist nation on earth.
Do I hear the sound of guillotines being constructed?
