We've got a couple trips planned too. Thing is, it's not cooling down like it used to in October, high of 95 today. Maybe we'll do them later this month or maybe in November. We may have to learn how to do a turkey over a campfire. Have a good time, joe.

@Azazello camping as well. Fortunately highs here at AbiquiuLake campground is low 70s and windy, low 40s tonight . If it's not too windy in am hope to kayak. Then head on over to Utah.

We've been getting some disgustingly early snow the past few days, even if it does melt, and it's coooooold! Maybe we would work something out with a partial temperature trade? (Good luck getting through the excessive heat, though! Very draining, especially where inescapable. At least I can wear two layered hoodies inside the house to help, although I'm kinda wondering where my parka is...)

@joe shikspack We got the oil changed in the Gobal Warmer, tires rotated and balanced, and new Rancho shocks. The back 2 were leaking.

Beautiful view here in Georgia O'Keefe country. Discovered we just made it here before the Corp of Engineers closes it for the season.

Looking forward,to hearing how the "shakeout" trip went.

This morning our word for the day was,"safe travels" so took,that as a sign to head out to Utah for hiking, kayaking and other fun. Save travels to you and yours!

nice trip, Joe. This is definitely our favorite time of the year to camp and/or take regular road trips.

when I tried to find arguments of why I hate the electoral college. I couldn't formulate it and the research was too difficult for me to do. This article makes it pretty clear though. So, I thought I post it here.

Atricle writer Wasserman (is he any relation to DWS?) also doesn't have clue one about how HORRID a President Her would have made.

The info in that Truthdig article totally indicates, in my view, that both sides were, indeed, cooperating to ensure the PTB's pick wound up with the Presidency in each case, for whatever reason - although, with regard to one claim made, apparently many people did stand in line to vote for everyone but President, refusing to vote for either Trump or Clinton but apparently often failing to vote for Jill Stein, who would have been the one likely not be out to bleed them to death for corporate profiteers.

I have a strong suspicion that Dr Stein was ripped off of many votes, though, as non-corporate parties must be kept out to avoid voters having a choice other than The Two-Party Trap and escape the horror of a government working for the people becoming a possibility.

There was a blog run by a statistician who used to do election fraud analysis which was sometimes posted on here by someone; can't recall any of the names involved, but do recall seeing one shortly after the election which stated that his findings were that both sides cheated but canceled each other out. Anyone recall anything about this?
