A heavy blanket seems to have descended on reporting about the special election, even at so called Progressive sites, which suggests to me that she might be doing rather well. She has been endorsed by Sen. Markey quite recently, the new Rising has a segment about that at YouTube, and by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

On the other side are a bunch of determined outside opponents dumping money into the campaign of a fairly undistinguished opponent, whom I don't care to name; the lady has had far more publicity than she deserves or has earned by her own efforts already. Killary made headlines endorsing the opponent; now a group calling itself Democrats who support Israel or something like that, is spending heavily to defeat Turner.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have had about enough of the Israel lobby thinking it gets to decide the composition of our Congress. The late Tom Hayden described in his memoir, I think it was, how when he was running for the CA legislature, he had to meet with a group of area businessmen, who quite naturally had legitimate interests in knowing who might be going to Sacto, but, also had to be vetted by the Israeli Consul in LA.! For a seat in the legislature, which should be not the business of any foreign country.

Anyone here live in or near Ohio 11? Can you tell us more about this election? My bias is clear and out front. I would love to see Turner in Congress as well as Erica Smith in the Senate. I also still entertain hopes that Donna Edwards will return to politics. sigh
