Larry Cohen defends the Weaver decisions in the interview.

Short version:
OurRev staff doesn't like how Jeff Weaver is organizing as a 501(c)(4) to take billionaire money. This will prevent the ability to directly support down ticket candidates which was the original intent of the org. No confidence in Weaver for 'mistakes' he made during the campaign.

Weaver swears allegiance to Hellery - Aug 15
Weaver in his own words...

In private call, DNC flexes unity with Clinton camp and Sanders team

“I know that sometimes in primaries there can be sharp elbows, and I hope I haven’t bumped into too many of you,” Weaver said on the call. “But as we go forward into the general election, I’m very happy to be working with members of the Clinton team in trying to get the secretary elected.

So where do we expect Weaver to take OurRev?

And now for this commercial message... Biggrin

I wasn't tormented. I stood my ground. My parents also moved us out of the neighborhood before middle school. If somebody threatened my family, you better believe I would take them out and not cower in fear relying on their integrity and good will.

give a good goddamn about "normal reactions" from anyone. Are you really comparing a schoolyard bully situation to real adults with real weapons and real wealth and real blood thirst over real billions and real power? You can call that base reality "making excuses" all you want, the whole notion is absurd.

You want he should have laid it all down? What should he have done--challenged them? With what?

Then what happens?

I was threatened with physical violence regularly between the ages of 5 and 9. No not one 40 year old ever threatened to shoot me. Nor do you have any proof that anyone ever threatened Bernie, not even for his lunch money. All you have is wild speculation and your conjecture that standing up to power was more than Bernie could handle. Good thing he walked away, eh?

He should have aired it publicly for the world to see. The Clintons can operate as they have for the last 30 years because nobody will call them on their illegal bullshit. They do everything behind closed doors and deal with people who are known for their discretion. If Bernie was being threatened, why not make it public? It would surely have gotten massive amounts of media attention and would have jumpstarted a congressional investigation. Why was the secret service allowing a campaign to threaten the life of a presidential candidate? That in itself creates a kind of protection for him and his family. Hillary would not act if she thought that she would get caught and be presumed guilty. She's stupid, but she's not that stupid.

That's the main reason why I think that the speculation about threats of violence is overblown. The facts simply don't line up. Did they threaten him? Probably. The Democrats likely said they would make him a non-presence in the Senate and do everything they could in the future to destroy his career if he didn't give up. But I also think that Bernie got something out of this. Judging by his actions, the deal was to endorse, fully support, and throw his weight behind the establishment that cheated him in exchange for something. What exactly we don't quite know yet, aside from a few platform concessions. But Bernie almost certainly made some kind of deal, and his own behavior, which runs counter to much of his image as honest and plainspoken, along with his campaign's rhetoric, is one of the reasons why people are becoming more skeptical about what he is doing. The fact that he's done more to support Hillary than Tim Canova since the primary ended is indicative of that. I don't think that you can really fault anyone for feeling that way.

Did your childhood tormentors have a global reach involving thousands of ruthless corporations as well as powerful political figures and the use of militaries and various agencies specializing in such things as assassinations? Where, off Earth, does one move to avoid these?

The numbers of murders, 'accidents' and suicides - in some of the latter cases shooting themselves more than once or in the back of the head - which are associated with the Clintons are legendary.

Bernie is probably alive right now because any murders, 'suicides' or 'accidents' which occurred to him would be naturally assumed to be connected with them, and the riots ensuing would interfere with Her Royal Coronation. And it's most likely threats to his loved ones silencing him.

Edit: I don't need no stinking punctuation! Well, maybe... and a few explanatory words I missed the first time...

And another edit because I also messed up a word and spellcheck gave me a different one, which I failed to notice. And all the while, someone had already covered this - which this landed right behind... needz sleep...

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

It's very clear that working inside the system failed. The system will do it's damndest to make sure that you will fail. Any group that promotes working within the system is just setting its followers up for more failure.

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." ~ President John F. Kennedy

The more I learn, the less I like, and my dislike is wrapped in ANGER.

Truly feeling like we were bought, and then sold - and now betrayed. Jeff Weaver - 501C4, get money from billionaires - and what's Jeff's cut of all this?

Fuck.

Can a lobbying job for Big Pharma - a la Howard Dean - be far behind? To paraphrase Emma Goldman, who wants to be part of a revolution where you can't cash in?
