Chuck Schumer slams 'hatchet job' by Trump allies to discredit Robert Mueller
Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., bashed allies of President Trump Monday after days of questioning the investigation of special counsel Robert Mueller, calling their attacks a "hatchet job" meant to undermine the probe looking into Russian involvement in the 2016 election.
Schumer also called the questions by presidential allies a "smear campaign," adding that they are spewing nothing more than "propaganda and disinformation."
"Their attacks are not based on fact or logic. This is a hatchet job, plain and simple," Schumer said on the Senate floor. "If they have a legal complaint, they can pursue it in court, but of course they don't. That why these attacks are only speculation on TV by partisan pundits.
"The concerted campaign to discredit him and his investigation in the right-wing media is nothing more than propaganda and disinformation to try and turn the public's attention away from the real investigation," Schumer said, referring to the investigation by Mueller.

Holder has said that Fox News has been warned for going after Mueller and others at the FBI. When I started my internet routine yesterday, I kept seeing headlines about people warning Trump not to fire Mueller or the republicans saying something about how this has gone on long enough.
As I've stated before, every breathless new information about the Russian interference with the election or people in Trump's administration has done something or has been charged for whatever is met with excitement and people saying that Mueller is getting close or that Trump is sweating bullets.
Now we're being groomed about how Mueller has gotten emails from Trump's transition team. BFD!
As Jimmy said, we've been told that Trump colluded with Putin during the election, but now they are focusing on what happened after he was elected.
I'm anxious to see what is going to happen when Trump is able to finish his term because Putin didn't actually interfere with the election. Popcorn time.. Will Rachel's tin foiled head explode? What happens when her fan club finds out that she has been lying to them?
