Bringing It: Judicial Watch Files Ethics Complaint Against Cory Booker

I wonder how Spartacus feels about this? Or will it make him a ‘resistance’ hero?

Bringing It: Judicial Watch Files Ethics Complaint Against Cory Booker

Government watchdog Judicial Watch has filed an ethics complaint against Democrat Senator Cory Booker for deliberately breaking Senate rules and releasing confidential Senate Judiciary Committee documents for political gain. Booker did so during the confirmation hearing for Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

"By publicly releasing Committee Confidential records, Sen. Booker appears to have violated provisions 5 and/or 6 of Rule 29 of the Standing Rules of the Senate (Rev. Jan. 24, 2013)," Judicial Watch details in a letter delivered to to the chairman and co-chairman of the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Ethics
Wednesday. "We hereby request that the Senate Ethics Committee conduct a preliminary investigation into whether Sen. Booker violated Senate Rules by releasing Committee Confidential records through his social media accounts."

Short article but I expect copious tears and ridiculous outbursts from Senator Spartacus. He probably took it for granted that the Senate would let him slide on this.

Judicial Watch, on the other hand, is not letting any opportunity to ‘inconvenience’ the Dims pass them by.

Good for them.

For once Cory Booker might be doing some good even if it is illegal. I keep hoping they will destroy each other.

was leaking for partisan political reasons. I personally find that wrong no matter what. There is a reason for the Senate having that rule. There is also a forum in which Booker could make his concerns public and that is the floor of the Senate. What Corey Booker was doing was not whistle blowing, but instead was trying to use the leak for his own political purposes.

Both parties are evil and corrupt. However, the corruption in one party does not excuse the other party from using illegal means to "thwart" that corruption. This country has descended into such lawlessness on the part of our governing officials that we have become desensitized to it and it is becoming normalized. I applaud Judicial Watch for calling out Booker on this.

She leaked Senate intelligence committee information about Russiagate. Of course, she really didn't need to personally involve herself in that, she could just as easily let her Chinese Chauffer leak to the NYT.

*Resistance* heroine.

I’ve always wondered whether or not (or how much) she knew about where the Clinton Dossier came from and who paid for it.
