Blue Shit Hits The Fan in L.A. [Update]
First we had this insult this morning:
Amid protests, panel finds that LAPD did not violate deadly force rules in shooting of black woman in South L.A.

And more :
The Los Angeles police officer who fatally shot a 30-year-old black woman in the aftermath of a pharmacy robbery in August 2015 in the Crenshaw district acted within department policy, the city Police Commission ruled today.
The decision immediately sparked protests.
Why are we pissed? The story:
The decision immediately sparked shouts of protest from the audience, which was packed with activists and some Black Lives Matter members calling for the officer to be disciplined or fired. Some in the crowd shouted "Shame on you" as board members adjourned their meeting and walked from the room.
Outside the Police Administration Building, hundreds of angered activists chanted "Fire Charlie Beck! Remove Matt Johnson!" referring to the Los Angeles Police Department chief and the president of the Police Commission.
Some protesters were headed toward City Hall, and a mass of LAPD officers in riot gear was set to protect the building.
The commission, after meeting in closed session for more than an hour, announced that it found fault with some of the tactics used by officers in the Aug. 12, 2015, shooting of Redel Jones, but found that Officer Brett Ramirez's shooting of the woman did not violate LAPD policy.amirez has been with the department for about four years.
Jones was shot in the 4100 block of Marlton Avenue after police responded to a call of a pharmacy robbery in the 3700 block of Santa Rosalia Drive.
Police said officers saw a woman matching the description of the suspect in an alley west of Marlton Avenue, and the shooting occurred when officers tried to detain her. Police said the woman was armed with a knife, and that a knife was recovered at the scene.
According to an internal LAPD report obtained by the Los Angeles Times, officers were chasing Jones in the alley when they saw her pull out a large knife. The officers allegedly ordered Jones to drop the knife, but she continued to run, the newspaper reported.
When Jones "suddenly stopped and turned toward the officers," the report said, one of the officers used his Taser, which didn't seem to affect her, according to the report, which also said that money and a robbery demand note were found in Jones' clothing and knife was near her body.
A woman named Courtyana Franklin told the paper, however, that she witnessed the shooting in the side-view mirror of her car, and she insisted Jones was running away from officers when she was shot, not advancing on them.
Jones' husband, Marcus Vaughn, was among those attending today's commission meeting, telling the panel in an emotional statement, "You all stole her from me." After the commission's decision was announced, Vaughn was seen wiping away tears amid a crowd of supporters outside the headquarters building.
Fuck the LAPD!
[Update!]. BLM protesters took City Hall, but were forced back. Legal Aid lawyers just left LACAN. They already have a TRO against the City/LAPD for stealing homeless property. No arrests or shootings to report.
[Update II] The LAPD did not take back City Hall. A tactical alert was called and City Hall was put on lockdown. About150 protesters are occupying the west staircase and singing. They are demanding a meeting with the mayor and have refused to meet with a "high level aide".
Fuck yeah!

Then department policy needs to change.

It's about a year old. Maybe if it's shared enough times, it'll eventually be heeded.

So 4 or more men couldn't do anything
but shoot the woman instead of moving away from her and giving her more time to put the knife down? Bullshit. The cops are shooting anyone that they want to because they know that they won't be held accountable. Period.
And again how convenient that not one of them followed procedures and turned their dash cams on?
I don't buy it.
Things are going to continue to escalate in this country and I believe that people in our government want it to.
There was a reason why they militarized the cops and I believe there's another reason why they aren't being held accountable.
Especially the cop that shot Tamir Rice.
There was no reason for them to pull right up next to him like they did.
They should have stopped the car further away from him and talked to him over their speaker and told him to put the gun down.
Watching the video of his murder, I saw a kid walking towards the car to talk to them in a non threatening manner.
Also remember how John Crawford was murdered at the Walmart store. They didn't even bother to say anything to him, just turned the corner and shot him without bothering to access the situation.
And why did the cops feel the need to man handle Eric garner? What was so important for them to gang grab him that way?
Nothing except because they wanted to.
Scientists are concerned that conspiracy theories may die out if they keep coming true at the current alarming rate.
