Another Quickie for Tricia
No, not that kind of quickie. I have to work today, so can't stay long.
I tried to publish this, then lost it, then found it again, but then it ended up way down on the list. So I'm trying to follow Johnny's instructions for reposting. Technology. It often bamfoozles me.
But for those of you who haven't heard, Daily Kos' beloved Pootie Queen, triciawyse, passed away about a week ago from complications from pancreatitis. She was in her 40s.
Her funeral/memorial service began this morning at 10 AM, as did our memorial service over on DKos. Her family will be reading that diary again later.
So for all who knew and loved the Pootie Queen, please join us over at Memorial for Tricia, The Pootie Queen.

I've had pancreatitis. NOT funny. It can and will kill you. Long before that, you will sincerely wish it had killed you. At least in my case the docs were able to find and fix what was wrong. With Tricia, they couldn't.

It's a good reason to break the general strike. I'm still there to support my peeps (and not just my PWB peeps). I figure I'll let him kick me out rather than quit, but I don't expect to stay long since I keep uprating the "subversive" diaries.

Likewise. I only still have my mojo right now because of when I went on strike. And that will probably not hold me for very long; I suspect that kos will soon start demanding proactive Hillary support as the price of continued good standing, at which point I, too, will be history.

I fully expect it to be even more totalitarian.
We already know that the thought police are combing this site for smear material, since we don't bother to censor comments.
I expect anybody who posts under the same handle to be publicly SHAMED at TOP in a diary or two soon.
Especially if our traffic continues to rise.

It will take thyme, sage advice, a hunger to salt old wounds, and to pepper us with some spray.
I do suspect that we who still have fool ability to post there will be pared off, over time, but that is a labor intensive move that Kos will not underwrite.
Still, there are some truly nasty sorts there who would volunteer for such a task, especially if Kos offers a share of future riches that Kos is angling for. Trix, and several others are so nasty, I expect that they would enjoy doing so.
Anything is possible, but he has never done that before,
or so I am told by people who lived through the 2008 primary wars. I can't see anything in it for Kos to have the maximum number of people banned; he makes more money with higher numbers of readers, not lower. It seems to me that he would want to go through the motions as minimally as possible to keep as many as possible, so he would say what happens in the outer blog, stays in the outer blog.
As far as his getting upset about traffic on this site, he drove us all away so has only himself to blame, and theoretically he does not want us back, so why would he care what happens over here? Other than human nature not to blame oneself even when clearly at fault, of course.
