On Monday Tee Tee Dangerfield, a 32-year-old Atlanta resident became the sixteenth transgender person known to be murdered this year. Dangerfield was found in her car near an apartment complex in College Park suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital but did not survive.
At this time, we have no information that points to the shooting being the result of our victim being transgender.

There are as yet no suspects.
Although details are still unfolding, we cannot ignore that gun violence remains a threat to the lives of many marginalized Americans, including those who are transgender. My deepest condolences go out to TeeTee’s family and friends as they now must navigate the trauma and pain so many American families and communities regretfully know all too well.''

... And because it seems to be my job here...
... to tack this bit on to every depressing post like this Robyn provides, sixteen may sound like a small number but comparatively (the last time I checked) that number is, per capita, 400% of the murder rate for cis people.
This isn't any real surprise. When you marginalize people they are forced into the darker nooks and crannies in society and they have no recourse to social institutions like police. So the fact that many people don't like looking at "men in dresses" directly equates to body count.
A lot of wanderers in the U.S. political desert recognize that all the duopoly has to offer is a choice of mirages. Come, let us trudge towards empty expanse of sand #1, littered with the bleached bones of Deaniacs and Hope and Changers.
