Fox Latino Poll of Latino Voters

Latinos don't seem to like how Trump has talked about them. Latinos used to like the Republican party a lot more, back when Bush was running for president. Bush had the chance to be governor of Texas, which helped him talk to a part of the Latino community, which helped him. Since then, it hasn't been a good relationship between the Republican party and Latinos.

Fox News Latino polled "Latino Registered Voters" and found 69% preferred Hillary. Only 23% preferred Trump. Mitt Romney only got 23% of the Latino vote in 2012. In 2008, Latinos also voted against the Republican party. John McCain only got 31% of the vote. Republicans have been losing Latino voters since George Bush Jr., who got 40% of Latino voters. Now, it looks like Trump is facing the same mountain that other Republican candidates have faced.

For Latinos, voting power has become increasingly strong. The number of Hispanics who can vote makes up the fastest growing group of voters in the country. Latinos now are graduating in higher numbers than they ever did under George Bush Jr., and have more bachelors to advanced degrees now. Many of these Latinos were born and have been raised their whole lives in the U.S. In nine close states, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin, they may mean the difference in the presidential election.

Regardless of what party a person supports, the power of the Latino vote cannot be ignored. Already this year, Latinos have had amazing numbers of new registered voters. Latinos have a 75% unfavorable view of Trump and only a 41% unfavorable view of Hillary. Barack Obama still remains the standard bearer, with 75% of Latinos viewing him favorably. With the growing power of Latinos, more attention will have to be paid to their voices, certainly by Republicans, who are underwater with Latinos at the moment, although Democrats cannot begin to ignore them since so much of their success depends on continued Latino support. Maybe in 4 years, it will be impossible for anyone to mention building a wall between the countries without realizing it means the death of their election hopes.

are NOT over. It would have been much more interesting to see how a Sanders/Clinton/Trump match up would be. I love it when the media tells me what my choices are without telling me what my choices are.

I wonder how much her unfavorable would change if the voters knew more about Honduras (of course, it depends on which Latinx population they polled).

And it seems nobody directs their polls at them so the media doesn't seem to realize it's happening. And with the sudden surge of newly registered voters.

...an increase of more than 220,000 Democrats, or a nearly 3-percentage-point boost in their numbers, which hit 7.7 million.

Registrations among Latinos are up 123%

There might be an pleasant surprise next Tuesday (you know several hours after the media has called the primary for Clinton).
