i had some snide fuck tell me i wasn't one of the adults in the room because i was "reacting" to a comment on some website yesterday.

for some reason, i did some soul searching, and i realized they were probably right.

i've been a democrat since my first vote in 96. i voted for clinton of course, and whatever down-ballot people i'd been told to vote for. at 18 years old, i wasn't politically active. i don't think many of the late-genXers probably were. i voted for clinton to spite my father, who is a lifelong eisenhower republican. he's voting mostly dem now, but i digress. i consider myself a progressive, but i don't buy into a lot of the social issues when it comes to policy. i'm far more interested in corporate regulation than legislating thought crimes, and i think that most of the founding fathers would agree with me. assholes are going to be assholes, and i'm comfortable with letting them be. i see them being assholes, everyone sees them being assholes, and everyone + me gets to call them assholes and feel better about themselves. that's how it's supposed to work.

the point, though: i don't trust clinton, and i don't trust clinton's supporters... just outright. when i start to detect any sort of negative commentary towards sanders, i just assume the source is completely full of shit and unload. clinton's bullshit sprinkler throughout this primary has cost her and the democratic party my support. i don't know if it's that i'm older, or that i've lived through the bush administration, or if it's that reagan/bush/clinton/bush's policies have come home to fuck up most of the people i know's lives. i don't know if it's that i've been called everything from a racist to a trump supporter, but i'm long gone. bye, felicia.

i know a lot of people, and i don't know anyone who expects any sort of success in their life, as far as success has been defined for the last century. i see my people killing themselves for money. i've killed myself for money. my back is fucked up because of it, and that was basically the end of my working-for-the-man existence, an existence that gave me a nice bike and some decent stereo equipment. paid bills + social scraps. why do people want things this way?

i'm an artist now. i make things. i think everyone should make things, because everyone has something to make. it's in our genes, we're humans. makers. smile and nod isn't something worth doing and i wish more people would cut that cord and tell their employers to fuck right off. the businesses in this country have failed us completely, for the most part.

why do people want more trade deals, more paid for politicians, more woohoo-service-economy USA? do you have the time to listen to people that do? because my immediate reaction is "FUCK OFF AND DIE." i'm probably not communicating very well at that point, but i just don't care anymore.
