Emergency Petition re Election Fraud
On the heels of the Nevada mess in which rules were changed, votes taken before caucus members were registered and in the room, and repeated violations of Robert's Rules, this new petition is asking for the FBI to investigate (finally). Please sign. It is the least we can do for those people who fought so hard for democracy tonight.
EMERGENCY Request for the FBI to Investigate the DNC for possible Election Fraud
We The People of The United States request an investigation into the DNC to ensure that there will not be any voter suppression or election fraud in choosing the Democratic nominee as there have been in numerous states this Primary season.
In case you are not aware, the first thing Roberta Lange, the chairperson and HRC supporter, did was throw out the 2nd tier voting (the one where Sanders picked up extra delegates) and revert to the 1st tier votes. Currently, I am waiting to see if anyone puts together some comprehensive videos, but as I watched over the night--about 16 hours for those who were there--there were numerous problems with the way this was handled and with the results.
I have updated my FB page to include new tweets, including the ones that came out tonight. Please feel free to use any you would like at LmWolfSpirit Airwaves.

This isn't the kind of thing that the FBI . . .
would deal with. This is not an issue of federal law, the rules relate to a party rules, and the main recourse for an appeal would be through the DNC itself.
The only way to resolve this from the outside is to vote out the current officials and to vote in officials who are more friendly.
Having said that, I think this is incredibly stupid on the part of the NV state party leadership. Bernie's people out organized Clinton's people on the second vote, and won that contest fair and square. The move might have cost Clinton a handful of delegates to the national convention, but it's not likely to change the outcome of the primary. Instead, Clinton holds onto a few national convention Dems, but the NV Chair's actions will probably alienate a few thousand voters in Nevada in November.
I'd contrast this with 2008, and the Clinton people arguing over votes in Michigan and Florida. The Obama people were willing to throw some extra delegates to Clinton, but it didn't materially change the outcome. Clinton is in an even stronger position, and at least in theory should be more secure, but instead we have these kind of fights, which also happened with Dems abroad.
Ummm, actually, they do...
From the FBI website:
It has occurred to me before that part of the holdup on an indictment might be becasue election fraud has been added to the load.
This has become much too regular to not be more than a coincidence. From some of the videos I saw and the reports I heard there were actually more Sanders supporters at this caucus also.
The Americans Abroad case is interesting. HRC goes up against the rules committee for ONE delegate. She is very greedy.
And you are right, this and previous shenanigans are going to cost her big if she is the nominee.

We in the Frankfurt DA were stung pretty bad with Obama.
I joined Democrats Abroad after the John Kerry debacle and for the first couple years, people at the meetings were focused pretty intensely on torture, the Iraq war, contractor atrocities and corruption, failure to respond to Hurricane Katrina, etc.
Then there was this tidal wave of enthusiasm for Obama — followed by a gradual but ever-deepening discouragement and embarrassed silence, as people at the social meetups tended to avoid issues that were divisive and/or might make the Administration look bad (in the end, pretty much everything).
So it doesn’t surprise me at all that there would be an overwhelming majority for Bernie, regardless of what the stateside party establishment is saying.
I was referring to the article
in which HRC tried to get Democrats Abroad committee to give her a delegate she didn't earn:

that PRIMARIES and CAUCUSES are NOT considered federal elections. National conventions might be, but not the state ones.

You may be right - there was a time when the power elite just
flat out chose their nominees and nobody had a voice in the process - but I figure it can't hurt to sign the petition. With enough signatures they'll have to respond, if only to say "we can't do that"; the DNC also may feel a need to respond, if only with a press release. I'd like to see the DNC sweat.
The other thing is, some of the election fraud happened by Repub election officials. You know they'll try this crap in the general election. If we can jail these people now, they won't be around for the general, and making an example of them now may put a damper on whoever thinks they can rodent fornicate the general election, or at least give them a few sleepless nights.

Yup, never hurts to try.
No one thought the petition to arrest Bill Clinton for his Massachusetts stunt would go anywhere either, but it did, and it generated a bit of publicity for their campaign.

Time for two private clubs to stop running our politics.
That's all.

Heartily agree.
However, for this election cycle, it is what we are stuck with, so best to bring them both down. Actually, though, I think it is really just one private club.

In Colorado, caucuses are totally party affairs
They organize them, pay for them and run them by their own rules. They are NOT elections. This is being explored in some detail here due to several attempts in the recent legislative session to pass bills to create publicly funded primaries. They failed, but there is a proposition on this fall's ballot to require publicly funded primaries that are open. The cost will be split between the state and the counties. I'm all for it, and there are plenty disaffected members of both major parties who will be out there fighting for it, myself included.
Both primaries and caucuses
involve voting and a subject to a set of rules and regulations and each can be the victim of election fraud.
I like the idea of caucuses and they once served a number of purposes, but I think their time is past in high population areas. I wish you luck in your state to get primaries set up. A word of caution: Make sure that they are set up with a paper trail, not black box voting machines.

Be very careful about getting rid of caucuses
They have proven more difficult to rig than primaries. In caucuses, individuals are supposed to be present, which prevents the kind of quick rigging you see with Diebold voting machines.
This is one reason, I believe, that Hillary does much worse in caucuses than in primaries.
And, BTW, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz wants to abolish caucuses. Stopped clocks are a thing, but as with Karl Rove, I'd be careful if I found myself agreeing with DWS.

Yikes, that would certainly make me think twice
As I said earlier, i do like them. There are some problems with them that leave out people who cannot spend a day debating candidate qualifications (or lack thereof). Maybe some kind of teleconferencing could be set up for those who are not able to make it there physically? For the 21st century, I really think we could figure out a way to maximize participation without comprising quality.
PS. HRC and/or her surrogates have still managed to rig parts of or some of the caucus results, so that is another issue that would need to be dealt with.

misbehaving" diary here, http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/05/14/1526488/-Bernie-supporters-misb... for all the good it will do. .
Got lectured for "not having a modicum of respect," of course.
It all fell on deaf ears AFA the commenters, but hopefully any undecided lurkers will notice that once again Hill people lie, exaggerate, misconstrue, and do it all to distract from the real issues.
Please check out Pet Vet Help, consider joining us to help pets, and follow me @ElenaCarlena on Twitter! Thank you.
I stay far away from there.
However, I did tweet a response to one HRC supporter. She answered, I replied, she responded in two parts one was to part of the statement I had made about abortion. She claimed that HRC fully supported abortion rights. I set her straight. Silence. The other comment from her was about my learning to read. So I told her I have a MA and had been a college professor and worked as a paralegal and know full well how to research AND understand. Silence,
Hopefully, I gave her something to think about. I think she also might have to reevaluate just who she thinks all Sanders supporters are...not young pups that need to behave.
Sorry to say, but I do not think it is possible for there to be any undecided voters hanging out over there any more.

I haven't tweeted yet, but I do Facebook. Despite a public
page there, I find it more hospitable than TOP these days! I figure TOP gets new viewers all the time, although probably most decent people don't stay long. So I'll keep it up until I get banned. If I get tired of arguing with the tireless Hillbots, I just don't return to those comments. I don't go to the Hill diaries. But if they're going to smear Bern's name in the title, I'm going into "their" diaries and it's their own fault. If they can't keep their constant cheering civil, they can listen to me tell them how wrong they are.

You have a much stronger stomach than I have = )
I found that reading the stupid stuff (and so very much of it was) was actually making me ill. I had been looking for a new place when the edict first came out and left immediately.
I am finding that I kind of like the tweeting. It is teaching me, in some instances anyway. to condense my thoughts. = ) I only recently set it up, and it gives me a way to help with the election that I could not otherwise do. I also set up a Facebook acct but I am not really using it for much other than storage, though it does give me access to making comments at some media sites. Sometimes I just cannot stop myself from trying to correct willful ignorance. = )

I tweet, but I don't think I get the finer points of it.
I had lysis come after me at top about a tweet I made where I said I'd rather Trump. I got a couple of likes from Lee Camp. I promote Redacted News. I think his show is really, really good. Watching his videos on voter fraud lays it all out. The one where the superD in NY sold that build for all that money in return for the purge - omg, that should be sent to the FBI.
"Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich."--Napoleon
If someone goes after me at TOP about something I post
elsewhere, that will probably be the day I get banned, because a lot of cussing will ensue. They can tell me to watch what I say at Kos, but they are not going to follow and try to censor me all over the effing Internet. I would tell whoever that that is not fair and up with that I will not put. If you don't want to read me on Facebook or Twitter, unfriend or unfollow me. But don't take it to TOP. It's Kos' Web site, but it's not his entire effing Internet universe. I don't care how much Hill or the Koch Bros is/are paying him.

It makes me laugh that ANYONE at Daily Kos follows ppl elsewhere
and tries to police them ELSEWHERE. Who do they think they are?
What a shit-hot bunch of misplaced superiority. It's bad enough they're full of themselves there. But elsewhere? OMFG...
I find it kind of interesting
that their behavior and attitude so very well matches their chosen candidate. If only a tenth of the non-tos HRC supporters have that same attitude, I fear many of us will soon be headed to the gulag if she manages to steal this election.

It is part of that CIA/police state mode of thinking
I believe that one of the top rules is one against stalking. While it does refer to the site itself, I think you could make a good and public case against someone doing it to you without getting banned. I would say it should embarrass them, but then I know the tos people and nothing seems to do that, so...
I am still new to Twitter and Facebook, but I do think you can block them from your pages, or at least from posting there. You may also be able to report them for stalking you elsewhere. It might be worth looking into.

I love Lee Camp's shows.
I actually learn a lot from his pieces, and it helps fill the empty spot that Jon Stewart left. Oh, yes, the one of selling that building was incredible. He should lend some of his staff to the FBI.
LOL, I am not surprised someone one would come after you with that statement at top. I think it helps to pick your fights carefully. = )
What I have found that works well--for me anyway--is using a graphic to get across a point. They tend to get more attention as they catch the eye easier, plus they get around the 140 character limit (even though each graphic uses up 24 of those characters).

Ha! So far. I have some groups over there that I like and I
mostly read the pootie diaries. And I try to support those who are left there. It would be great fun if Bern wins at the convention! Maybe that would be the day I get banned, because I would have to spike the football. Sometimes I check out of there because I've had enough. The timing is a bit of an art.

I would not worry too much about this.
As someone said in a different context, "Please proceed."
This rhetoric of "Behave" "You're misbehaving" "You're unruly" "Tone it down" "Take your seats" is going to backfire big time on Hillary 2016--my only worry is that I think they may be running what is essentially an anti-campaign on purpose. Otherwise I have to assume levels of highly-paid incompetence and tomfoolery even *I* can't believe in.

It is called paternalism.
It was widely used by the aristocracy to keep the peasants in line. A pat on the head here, a frown there, an extra sweet when one has been especially compliant. It is thought to be exemplary behavior on the part of those who practice noblese oblige. The more things change, the more they stay the same huh?

“Clintoon” is funny, is that your own invention, Fentress?
It reminds me of an early 1980s political comic strip called “Washingtoon”:

Having been brought up in the age
where a staple TV item was the Untouchables and Elliot Ness, I still have--even if it turns out to be unjustified--a certain amount of faith in the FBI. Although, I have absolutely none in any other the other national "crime/terrorist" agencies.
There is a really good book by Taylor Caldwell (1070s, I think) called the Captains and the Kings which outlines a lot of what we are seeing today regarding corporations and government. the basic premise is that there is a WORLD group that is making all the decisions. I think the Clintons are wannabes.

I think I figured out their Plan B
tank Clinton and install Trump, since he's so popular--and then use him as the ultimate tool to dismantle what's left of our democratic republic.
If we don't get in the goddamn streets in Philadelphia--particularly in light of what happened in Nevada yesterday--stick this thing with a fork, it is DONE.
That could backfire big time for them.
If we don't have Sanders, I think we might be able to take a sow's ear to make a purse.
Let's take the two things we know for sure about Trump (his policies have fallen on both sides of the fence, so who knows). He is a egotist and a narcissist. Those qualities are easily found in any child. So, how does one raise a child? Praise and lots of it when good and frowns when bad.
To start, we let him know that we understand how the Republicans treated him and it was shameful, but he is OUR president now. then we direct petitions toward him in particular that--starting small--ask him to fix the voting rights act (instant registration, all people can vote in all elections, etc) so we can vote for him again in four years. If he does something non-progressive, we just shake out head in sorrow and let him know how hurt we are. Those mean ole Republicans will try to not let him have what he wants, of course, which will not make him happy and we start a cycle of rewards with the "punishment" coming from the right.
It will take patience and planning, but that is how you raise a good citizen.

Agreed with the concept
but in reality, you have to assume that any messages to a President Trump will be filtered and he'll never see them.
Where there is a will, there is a way = )
And we certainly have the will. We can start by using senators or house members who are real progressives to deliver messages. Plenty of ways to get around filters. = )
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.--Aristotle
If there is no struggle there is no progress.--Frederick Douglass
I don't disagree about "will"
but I believe that this government is so completely compromised by now that there are not as many "ways" as we assume there are.
I also think we should absolutely try, because what else is there? I'm just sayin', we have friends and we may even have friends in high places, but their filters might be designed to be impenetrable at this point. We should just not be surprised if we have to reach waaaaay down deep for the savvy we need to get around them....
Well, if Trump is president,
we do know one very highly placed Senator who may be able to find an in for us. I would not discount Trump's desire to massage his ego with contact with "devoted" followers, though.
Yes, it is a quagmire, and we will need to step carefully, but I think there are some possibilities. Besides, it is way more fun than contemplating what an HRC reign would mean.

He may not be as stupid as he apoears
I have been to four different campaign rallies this year. Two of Bernies which were great and exciting. I saw Bill Clinton speed in Vancouver, WA it was interesting but it really cemented my serious dislike of them. Then I saw Trump in Linden, WA. I was dragged there by my cousin who only wanted to go for the experience.
It was far more interesting than I thought. Here in the state of Washington the racial politics were gone as was the bluster and BS. He presented issues that directly effect the audience he was talking to and brought it down to a local level. He spoke very specifically to the huge job loss the area has experienced which neatly ties in with a trade deal Bill Clinton made. He told them who benefitted and that Canada when negotiating the same deal made workers their primary focus.
He had seriously done his homework.
He did this all in a very calm, cool and collected way. None of the usual stage persona.
On the democratic side both Bernie and Bill Clinton both spoke of their opposition to the Keystone pipeline which is directly responsible for our current fight over oil trains. Bill Clinton actually spoke of the positives of having oil ports in Washington.
The whole thing is surreal frankly.
I didn't mean to give the impression
that I think he is stupid. By no means do I think that. but I do believe that he is lead in large part by his ego and narcissism, and I think those two traits could assist us in limiting the damage he could do. Right now, we are quite unsure of what he will do or try to do. As you say, he can address problems when he needs to or wants to, we just need to figure out what the triggers are. i know that sounds very manipulative, but it is our country and earth we are trying to save, and anything is worth a try.
Well, we still have a couple of months to go to see if it will be necessary. All I can really say is that there is no way in hell that I want HRC or her husband back in the WH.

I am under the impression
He is addicted to risk. Some people jump out of planes he seems to do it in a business relm.
Like any addict he needs more and more of his drug of choice to get high. So once you become the leader of the free world where do you get your high? The only answers I can come up with are not very conducive for our continued survival.
Calculated risk is very different
than the kind of risks that make someone unstable. The people who decided to fight a Revolutionary War took a risk. All inventors take a risk. All artists take a risk. Most stock market investments are based on risk. Hell, for me, getting up in the morning is a risk. = )
Definition of calculated risk:
HRC doesn't take risks. She plans to the last detail to ensure that she gets what she wants, and what she wants right now is the presidency. To do that, she started planing well before she announced her candidacy by locking in 33 states and setting up the apparatus that will ensure her election including election fraud.
As SOS she sold unprecedented amounts of weapons to unstable countries. Countries with huge human rights abuse records. She is not going to take a risk. She is actually planning her wars. Even now she is calling for no-fly zones. She has also promoted fracking in other countries as well as continued fracking in the US. She has minimal positions on green energy and even those will be dumped once she is elected.
If we want to diss Trump on the premise of things that are not "conducive for our continued survival" based on risk taking, I think we had better take a closer look at what will happen when it is actually planned.
The best solution is to elect Sanders, but I don't think that HRC has left a door open to that...from day one.

oh boy, I think another petition would be satisfying to see
How about petitioning Hillary Clinton to show some character and drop out from her race to enable Sanders supporters and independents to unify within the Democratic Party and build a movement worth the name to be "democratic".
It's not Sanders supporters who divide the electorate, it's Hillary Clinton with her power house of established Democrats, who cause the division.
Both Clintons are obsessed with both their own roles as politicians and celebrities in the political limelight since they were very young. That's an obsession that I consider a character flaw on both of them. As they are financed and in support of the banking industry and the MIC, it's a dangerous obsession and fixation, imo.
The Clintons have had enough exposure and political roles played in the past. The should go home, retire and leave politics behind. If they can't do that, they have not the character to represent the United States as a Democracy.

It's not a party, it's a private club, and we ain't invited inside, but they are happy to take out money at the door anyway and pretend that eventually, someday, when the time is right we will get a seat at the table.
Pardon my French, but FUCK THEM AND THEIR TABLE!
I wouldn't want to sit with these asshats any more than I would want to sit down with a frigging Koch Brother....
"I used to vote Republican & Democrat, I also used to shit my pants. Eventually I got smart enough to stop doing both things." -Me
I keep trying to remember (without looking it up)
when it was that the Republicans and Democrats switched platforms. I am thinking it may have been around Roosevelt's time, but it could have been before. since then, it has been a party trying to get back to its roots, which boils down to we have been actually dealing with a one party system.
Telling me that the other side is evil just doesn't wash when there is a Democrat that is blood thirstier than maybe even Kissinger. If Clinton is the nominee, I will do my best to help people make the decision to not give in and vote out of some misplaced loyalty to the Party or from fear of the other side.
Choices: Vote Green, write Sanders in, vote Trump, other options, whatever you are comfortable with anything but not voting at all. they would love to see us just give up, so not voting is not an option. Besides there are all those down-ticket people that need to help turn the Party inside out or come together to start an alternative party.
As far as the Democratic Party in its current form is concerned we will never be allowed to leave the small table. I so hate patronizing paternalism!
Really? I always thought fuck came from Middle English. = )
