Movin’ On Up
September 17 in 2011 began Occupy Wall Street. Which was a fail from the start. Because nobody ever actually occupied Wall Street. They just sat in a park. Where the police allowed them to be. This spread to sitting in parks in other locales. Mostly cities. After a couple months, a fair number of people were arrested, on various charges, amounting to Stop Being Here. And then everybody’s concern turned to their legal cases, rather than what caused them to sit in the park. That’s generally how it goes. What caused them to sit in the park, it varied from person to person; there was no real one overarching issue, just kind of a general desire to Stop The Badness. However, the Canadian outfit Adbusters that came up with the idea, produced that cool image of the ballerina, dancing, atop the bull. So, it was worth it, I guess, for that.

Hi hecate
Step right up!
Thanks to you ...
It's been half a generation in time since Occupy.
Unfortunately, the benign desire to stop badness and inequality never really had the chance of growing into a promising and dominant issue, due to the more formidable forces acting against it.
