I thought I was writing satire when Donald had a bleeding ear
After candidate Trump got shot in 2024, I wrote Mission Impossible Op:
The star of the show is the now deceased little twerp that I call Lee Harvey Osgood -- a quintessential Nobody who came within an inch of blowing up the skull of The Donald. The “news” has been strangely quiet about who this guy was or what he imagined he was doing. As of today, a new set of videos have emerged which make it seem even more ridiculous that he got any shots off at all. Today the story is that Osgood was flying a drone over the rally site earlier that day. This adds to the already stinking pile of factoids suggesting that this guy was allowed to take his shot at ridding the world of the Orange Fartcloud.
The only fact that supports the idea that this was a serious attempt to murder Tump is his bleeding ear
In my version of this Impossible Mission, we turn the screw one more notch – The IM Lab concocted a gizmo that blew up his ear and smeared red movie blood over Donnie’s face – setting up the iconic photograph that inspires the Great Takeback of America.
This is what happens when the powerful elites make war on objective reality for decades. When everything is bullshit, any damn thing is likely to be bullshit.
I regret that I did not click and save a news account I saw yesterday of somebody accusing Trump of hoking up his bleeding ear, citing his lack of a visible scar.
Perfect story. Might even be true.

but that's not true. Joe Rosenthal was the photographer who shot the iconic photo at Iwo Jima and he died in 2006. Evan Vucci shot the photo of Trump raising his fist in Butler Penn.

...the original scene at Iwo Jima was staged or I should say repeated for the photoshoot of the iconic WWII scene. I heard James Bradley the historian talk about it once. His father was there. The scene has well understood crowd psychology implications. It's part of the nation's collective consciousness.
