If you wanted proof positive of the "complete atrophy of political imagination" of which Castoriadis complained, this is it. Let's just endorse imperialism in front of an audience of, well, Europeans, but, really, Germans, because, well, because we can't think of anything else.

It documents the apparent stupidity of Trump Term II. Lots of boasting over ridiculous things like tariffs.
I still maintain that Trump and his string pullers are willfully destroying the American Empire to make way for a new Global Order.
If I am guessing wrong and Trump has cozied himself up with Real Big American Money to run a global campaign of domination, which is stoopid, it just means that it will be much harder to find a way out of the nightmare.

How does that work?
So let's see. Tariffs tank the economy, the forthcoming war with Iran gives us nuclear war and the defeat of the US and Israel, and everyone outside of the West ends up hating the West, while the West scapegoats Trump --
Yet somehow the people who did all of this have some vast trove of resources somewhere in the world with which they can launch a new global order. I gotta say: it's counter-intuitive...

I start by guessing
that the global billionaire caste members have more in common with each other than they do with their countrymen. And a high percentage of Trump saber rattling does not happen. The Big War with Iran is always in the offing, even as the missiles were flying. If bloggers know that we won't' have a cake walk in Iran, why else would the Megabuck Cadres be so stoopid about it and look so feckless?

I read an article on The Corbett Report
this morning. Annalists here and there are saying the the threat of wars between various countries are just to jockey for a higher position within the globalist technocracy that has been theorized since the 1940s. At the end of the day, all of these adversaries fall in line with passing thought crime laws, pandemic lock downs, digital currencies, carbon taxes, social scoring, etc...No matter how aggressive they are towards each other, they continuously fall in line for the unnamed and un-elected globalists.

So I got comfort and material possessions and a bunch of bots to take care of my creature comforts.
Why do I need other people? For Trump, himself, he seems to have a need for an audience. But how many adoring fans do the other billionaires need?
If you want to exterminate a couple billion people to take some pressure off of nature, why not make it 7 billion stiffs and be done with it?
