Martyrdom for Wingnuts
Martin Luther King, JFK, RFK and many other less famous crusaders for social justice have died violently and remain emblems of heroic resistance to evil shit like white supremacy and imperialism.
The closest thing to a martyr on the other side of the political fence would be Joe McCarthy.
That has changed this month as Charles Kirk gave his life for Jesus and America, according to numerous text messages I've received, to become the Trumpist Martyr.
There are obvious differences between the level of real-world impact made by the Blue Martyrs and Kirk. It is no denigration of Kirk to note that he was a bloviator rather than a public office holder or leader of a mass movement. It is no defense of his murder to note that this guy was one of many voices rather than a real change maker.
But with the end of traditional political contention between liberals and conservatives, we are left with personality as the only political determiner. So our erstwhile conservative fellow citizens recognized the martyr gap and their entire political and cultural apparatus is now beatifying Kirk.
They are daring us to denigrate this moral crusader for Christianity and America.

apparently- a bunch of conservative-owned affiliates threatened to take him off their air, so ABC has put his show on “indefinite hiatus” to placate them. We’ll see if that is permanent, or if it propels the overreach-pendulum back the other way.

Charlie Kirk was deeply in touch with the whole of the CPAC scene. (And when I say "CPAC scene," feel free at any point to take a look at the lists of attendees of any CPAC conference you like, and that should give you a solid definition.)
Well, the CPAC scene, like the rest of the political class in this country, has been deeply penetrated by Zionist interests all the way down to Mossad, AIPAC, the ADL, and the government of Israel itself. What happened was that, previously, Kirk actually took them up on their offers, went to Israel, and -- wonder of wonders -- was honest with himself about what he saw. He then tried to arrange a divorce between the CPAC scene and the Zionists. Max Blunenthal can tell you how well documented this story in fact is.
So who do you think had a sufficient motive, general modus operandi, and the tools -- both social and physical -- necessary to kill Charlie Kirk? Meanwhile:

Even today, I still don't know who he really was.
So I'm blameless for anything.
