SOMETHING ROTTEN IN NY?

As far as the hilbots are concerned the data can't be real nor is the writer being honest. As I read through this article I had no qualms about the honesty and believable research. But as soon as the hrc train got rolling the screams of CT (?) started. Is this possible?

At the end of the Debate, when Bernie Sanders gave his great concluding statement -- the people there roared with approval, and began chanting "bernie...bernie..bernie..", like it was a campaign rally. You rarely see that response in a TV debate.

It also forced Hillary Clinton to wait a few seconds before she could give her aimless, rambling, meaningless concluding pablum.

So there is a large New York voting block out there for Sanders. We just have to do everything we can get out the vote for Tuesday in New York.

So please ...please...everybody -- help out with Phone Banking at: https://go.berniesanders.com/page/content/nyphonebank

We Can Do This!!

I am not going to that place. I vote on Tuesday and as it is I can hardly breathe, I am so tense. I am apt to cut a bitch, figuratively, of course, if I read any of the crap Hillarites are spouting.

What my queries and research revealed was that Marist, after the knowledge of the Reuters poll showing Bernie pulling ahead nationally by a single point, conducted a poll inside upper-income precincts of New York City, select counties in western New York, and upper New York state. Polling was mostly targeted in the Counties of St. Lawrence and Herkimer (where Hillary won the 2008 primary by 70% in each), Nassau and Suffolk counties (each 62%), Fulton County ( 77%), Orleans county ( 76%), Cattaraugus county ( 69%) and Yates county ( 70%).

In Tompkins county New York, the only county in New York then-candidate Obama won, not a single registered democrat was polled. This has also been the case in almost every county Hillary won in the 08 primary by less than 60%.

Also, apparently, the polling numbers shrank from asking 1600 to 2000 Registered Democrats to 500 to 600. On top of that, CNN (owned by Time-Warner, one of the top ten corporate contributors to the Hillary Clinton campaign), the Wall Street Journal, and Marist are only polling Registered Democrats from LAST year, not polling newly registered democrats that have been brought in to the democratic party by Bernie Sanders.

...

Interesting note to add.... According to what I consider a reliable and trustworthy source ( someone I've known for 25 years and works in the New York broadcast media ) out of 62 counties in New York, polling was mostly conducted in certain upper-income residential areas plus 12 counties, and only counties where Hillary had won the 2008 primary by at least 60% of the vote. The average that Hillary won those recently polled counties in 2008 was 65.7%...

continually refer to polling as "scientific". As if giving it that word somehow gives it an air of irrefutability. Polling is and always has been controlled by the elites to manufacture consent among the voters who go along with the result they've been told to expect.

It isn't scientific. There is no science to it. It is purely statistics. It's well developed math that is consistent and rational, but that doesn't make it "scientific." Worse, it is statistics applied to a non-rigorous, untrustworthy data set, no matter the methodology of the poll (e.g. online vs. random samples).

don't be surprised that the hillbots are so bad over there. It is well known that people who are employed by PR firms are paid to be disingenuous, deceitful and work from a collective script. Indeed many are the same people. Just like Kos was paid by AIPAC to promote Israel interests before Netanyahu took power. Remember the massive I/P flamewars??? I remember when they instituted a "new" policy and rules about collective flagging and banning. They went and checked for sock puppets and I went back and found out that half of my flags for previous posts had been deleted with the sock puppet accounts. Apparently Netanyahu didn't extend the contract with Kos because he didn't like the liberal tone of his webpage.

In any event, there are plenty of people who came out after having worked for PR firms on contract to post, examples were given of multiple posters working from daily memos and themes. It has become quite apparent. For example, the scripted applause line when Hillary brought up abortion rights during the debate. I heard the applause line and said immediately to my partner, "that was scripted". Sure enough there are a number of diaries and talking points trying to forward how 'wonderful' it was that she spoke out about it, even though Bernie is MORE in favor of a woman's right to choose than Hillary is. (she supports some bans, such as late-term restrictions).

I was laughing at them before Michigan with their junk propaganda polls and I am laughing at them now. I will be laughing even harder as Hillary's favorability gap is now growing at a rate MORE than 1/2 of a percent PER WEEK.

If you do not understand that being part of the "establishment" is a slur in the minds of 99% of the U.S. population then you are completely out of touch and probably are one.

I only skimmed it, because I too have gotten to the point where just looking at the layout at TOP makes me twitchy. But the argument is roughly that when you dig into the specifics of the recent polling that shows Hillary way up in NY and zero movement over the past days of campaigning, you discover that the responses are strangely, disproportionately from geographical subregions where one would expect Hillary to do particularly well.

If that's true, the polls may not reflect what's really happening on the ground. On the other hand, nobody wants to go to the Unskew The Polls place; on the other, it does seem odd that there's an ongoing tilt toward Bernie everywhere but in NY. The idea that any anomalies are a result of deliberate skewing toward Clinton strikes me as very farfetched indeed, but polling is harder than it used to be, and sometimes polling outfits do make bad assessments of turnout patterns.

Hopefully Bernie will exceed the polls. But to win a closed Democratic primary in NY-- closed since last year-- and to:

  • refuse to make abeyances to AIPAC;
  • criticize Israel's use of force; and
  • express any degree of sympathy for Palestinian suffering

is just not going to be possible. I hope he gets within 10 points and if he gets to 5 points in my mind it's a huge victory. I am proud to support him after his principled stand.

HRC's speech to AIPAC made me taste vomit. But it's not realistic to win the NY primary.

If i am wrong I will come and happily abase myself. The closer he gets the better.

(If you are canvassing or phone-banking-- thanks and don't stop! It matters!)

My sense is that a large majority "support" Israel, and a smaller majority have sympathy for Palestine. I can't see his stance changing anyone's mind. But I have my own bubble, for sure. Most are very tenuously in touch with the situation over there.

In any event, we have one of the worst records of any Western democracy, and if we want to KEEP the energy, involvement and commitment of the young people who are inspired by Bernie, we have to fix our broken systems.

(BTW-I got into a private convo with someone at 538 and informed them of the anomalies being studied by a master statistician in Kansas and got blown off. I think they're in the bag for the PTB big time-and that would explain the hiring of a climate change denier for the blog, until outrage cause him to be cut)

It's everything you would expect from Faux News in terms of credibility, and viciousness, it just has an ever so slightly bias toward the left side of the political spectrum...

That is interesting what you had found with the bias of the poll. Polls can be skewed in a number of ways, the sampling, the questions asked, and some polls may not even be real polls but rather a push poll, which is a political advertisement masquerading as a poll. We had a lot of those advertising fake polls in Connecticut when Linda McMahon was running for the US Senate twice in Connecticut...

I'm not sure what the objective of doing skewed poll is... I see 2 possible effects and suspect it is something derived from David Brock's bag of Karl Rove training and its tricks...

  • The first effect would not be desirable for the HRC Camp as it would lure the HRC Supporters into a false sense of security that they are heading into a massive win, and their vote is not essential for victory...
  • The second effect is a continuation of the "Psyops" theme that ran from the very beginning where HRC's Super Delegate count was so high before the 1st primary vote had been cast that it was pointless to run against her. This theme continued with calls for Bernie to withdraw throughout the early stages of the primary process, with many of the results reports showing the Super Delegate count on top of Hillary's results. This tries to install the "Jump on the Bandwagon" effect where people vote for the "Winner" rather than their true desire, or it discourages voters into thinking their vote will not even count so why vote...

In any case we can be sure that the decision was "Think Tanked" to death, and the effects were carefully weighed so they are believing that the HRC Camp will get their desired outcome...

They are pulling out all the stops on this campaign and you know the oligarchy has a very strong interest in the outcome. They have the money, they have the media control, and they have their bought and paid for candidate...

They even bought GOS so what does that say?

One thing it does say, is don't even bother going there, it's like Faux News for Right Wing Democrats...

Or, could it be that the polls are skewed to cover up voting machine fraud making Hillary the winner? the skewed polls provide cover as they match the voting result.

And on that note-is the lack of exit polling related to election theft???

Sure they use the trapping of left-wing speech. But when you look at the actual policies pushed, it's not leftist at all. Especially in regards to economic justice.
