Everyone should have to keep a biosphere, and maybe learn what one is. Then how long they kept it alive would determine whether or not we listen to them on matters environmental. Edmund Scientific used to sell them to slcasses all over America. Even a little testtube version with a strand of Elodea (aka Anachris) and a snail. Aquariums are just fancy versions...

What an interesting looking animal the ringtail is, thank you. It looks like a combination of many different mammals. It made me think of a fun children's spiral book, where you can create unique animals by combining different parts of different animals.

Maybe try to use the site again. All of a sudden, for me, the response is very quick.

I took this one the next day.

Most often and most correctly called Ringtail nowadays. Some southerner saw it at some point and Ringtailed Cat is far too entrenched in some circles as a name for it. It is not Feline.

Our neighbors have since these pics were taken reported that they found a dead Ringtail in the yard, that looked like their dogs caught it. I am amazed the dogs could catch it. But anyway, it is no more.

They are IMHO one of Americq's neatest beasts. Very secretive and comparqtively little known. I know people that have spent the lives in the field and seen a couple, or none.

I gotta fly.. late now... I am getting 20-30 seconds response times when I click on something here at the ite lately. Rare if it comes in 10 seconds.

And if you need seconds counted accurately, may I suggest a darkroom man?
