President Blowhard blows real hard at the Ukie Comedian
An humongous surprise in the "news" hit me upside the head this morning as I stumbled across some breathless talking heads on Fox News showcasing highlights of the Oval Office Pissing Match between Trump and Vance against Zelensky. Trump went so far off the reservation that the Fox experts would not go there with him. Their first "expert" was some thick necked guy in a suit who was the former CIA station chief in Moscow. This spook used his airtime to launch into the Putin is a Murderer Routine, ironically detailing Putin's history of bombing hospitals and schools.
I was shocked and dumbfounded to hear Donnie Fucknuts actually making sense as he told the little Ukie turd that he was losing the war and that he had no business trying to derail the peace negotiation. He also stated at one point, words to this effect: "I can be the biggest badass you've ever seen, but that's not how you get to peace."
Here is this lifetime shit head, actually going out of his way to make the case for Peace on global television.
Not that it matters what us peons think, I remain unconvinced that Trump is anything but a tool of the permanent government.
We'll see, maybe.

Two quick takes on the Oval Office blowup .,.
Haven't posted here for a long time, but could not resist with these two off the cuff initial reactions to this very dramatic, almost unprecedented confrontation:
1. V. Zelenskyy reminds me of my cat. I repeatedly tell the cat to "not bite the hand that feeds you," and she repeatedly ignores this advice. I think this is what happened with the Ukranian leader today.
2. I think the person who really should shoulder most of the blame for the blowup is VP Vance. His role in a situation like this is to sit there and be quiet unless called upon. Rubio did this, but JD couldn't restrain himself, and the meeting didn't start to go off the rails until he jumped in with his unsolicited commentary. Frankly, this is not what I would expect from someone who might aspire to be a world leader so, to me, this rules him out as Presidential timber in 2028. This kind of confrontational message is something that needs to be delivered behind closed doors, not in front of the cameras.
That being said, we don't know what happened behind closed doors prior to the Oval Office presser. FWIW, my prediction is that someone else is going to become the lead negotiator for Ukraine, even if means that Zelenskyy gets deposed as the leader there. There's plenty of examples of what happened to leaders who defied the US in history (Mosadegh, Lumumba, Allende, Saddam, Assad) and this may well be what happens to Zelenskyy.

I might disagree with you about Vance deserving "blame." In ordinary diplomacy, you are spot on. But Trump is from show business, rather than politics, and the video I saw was great television. He even made a humorous comment during the wrap up about it being great television.
The real message from the affair was that Z is the one with the tin cup asking for more $$$$$. Where does he get the ass to bitch at the American Big Dog, even if he is Donnie Shrimpfingers?
I hope I'm right about Trump purposefully smacking this beggar around, and having his co-star start the smacking makes for good television.

....that many of us have been forced to walk (re: Russia and Ukraine) for nearly a decade — simply because the US is a lying sack of shitty propaganda, and a murderous monster unleashed upon the world. You are striving to speak and reason with intellectual honesty, and thus remain objective wherever the honest truth takes you. You have put your feet in everyone's shoes in order to understand the powerful motives that are driving this bloody, self-defeating slaughter that is taking place in the world.
Which side has the most honorable and humanitarian motive for forcing the conflict, and which side is driven by greed and depravity to provoke the conflict, all the while crying "victim" and refusing to honor prior peace agreements? Which side has signed all the peace agreements and broken none of them?
Once you answer those questions, you realize that psychopaths like Trump are going to be 100 percent correct every one in a while. Projecting mental chaos is Trump's favorite weapon. That's how you recognize a psychopath. So, you must stand firm in your own intellectual honesty. You don't trash Trump when he happens to be standing on the right side of history. Keep your eye on goal — Peace.

Which side has selected the location of battleground, and has transported military (Nazi) troops there to exterminate an ethnic population that settled in this region? Which side has crossed the border (the highway), entering that chosen battleground in order to rescue and protect the ethnic citizens actively being exterminated there?
Have the Russians swept across Europe and sacked all the capitols? Have they erected signage declaring that the EU is now the New Soviet Union?

In the video I linked, Zelensky makes the case that it was Russia who broke the Minsk agreements and not Ukraine who was shelling Ukrainians in the Donbas. He kept interrupting T and V and basically lying to their faces. Theirs and ours.
