The Best of Biden

From 2020 during his campaign from his basement. Sure Biden’s mind only broke down at the 2024 debate.

Of Kamala word salads. It’s going to be a fun election.

Shitlibs are insisting that she be called Harris because everyone else is being called by their last name. So Kamala it is.
Yay the damn air conditioner is working! It’s 98 here, but the dawg is happy. That’s what counts right? It’s probably our last trip for awhile.

for this mess. He absolutely knew by early in his first term, if not before, that Biden was unfit. Biden was never more than that old sidekick VP and young nominee combination for the 2008 Obama campaign. Others that would have been available and been better in 2008 were rejected because they would have expected to run for POTUS in 2016. Biden was expected to be too old to still have that aspiration in 2016. Obama made a deal with HRC when he rejected her for VP. SoS and 2016 would be her turn. (Sanders and then Trump were the black swans. And it wasn't easy for Obama to hold back Biden that year when he perceived an opening by exploiting the death of his son.)

@Marie1 They learned nothing from the 2016 election.
The public knew Biden was too old for years. But the DNC decided to to deep-six the primaries anyway. Even then tens of thousands of voters voted "uncommitted", and STILL the Dems didn't listen.

@gjohnsit
How to avoid an unidentified person downloading DNC files. Improve the hacking safeguards of DNC systems just in case anybody had the idea to try it.

How to improve the methods of fixing primary election results. (They were sloppy enough in 2016 that some evidence of their fixes were observed.)

Being less obvious in fixing the debate schedule to favor 'the one.'

Insure that DNC employees and the campaign staff of 'the one' aren't vulnerable to hacking and fishing (as Podesta was) and never ever talk shit anytime it could possibly be recorded.

The DNC does the best it can with the craptastic war-mongering, neo-liberal policies and candidates that the DP elites run with.

IOW, the DNC does its bit to thwart democracy.

The media was covering his gaffes before Obama cleared the field and then they all went silent on it. Just like they covered the Ukraine Nazis after the coup, but zipped it after Russia invaded.

@snoopydawg
And that was well known before 2008. It was also fairly well known that he was a joke in the Obama WH meetings. As the point man on Ukraine (not considered an important assignment - the CIA had been handling it for years), he should have been yanked when Hunter Biden and his buddy got that oil/gas deal there in 2013.

@Marie1 when he had it he was only good for sealing the deal on horrific appointees like Clarence Thomas. That used to be his albatross.
Seems to have evaporated from public discourse as the pitch increased against his best effort.

If Trump wins he will be the oldest president in history.
I'm guessing that people will stop talking about this.

For me it was about Biden’s lack of a functioning brain which the video shows he was having problems 4 years ago.

Good grief do you think I’m voting for Trump now or I ever was?

For someone who says he doesn’t vote for democrats he sure defends them a lot and especially when it comes to Trump.

I’m guessing he didn’t watch the video or he would have understood what my point was.

See his comment in Cass’ essay. He thinks the site is full of Trumpers.

If I did I wouldn't bother coming here.
You know I enjoyed a great deal of schadenfreude when Hillary lost in 2016. I'm looking forward to enjoying the same schadenfreude when Trump loses in 3 months.
Not that I trust Harris. I'm getting a lot of Obama neoliberal vibes from her. But I'm looking forward to the GOP melting down when it becomes obvious to everyone that Trump was never interested in anyone but himself.

@snoopydawg Half of voters say Trump is too old

A new Morning Consult poll juxtaposed the results from when Biden was still the presumptive nominee. When Trump was running against Biden, 58 percent believed the former president was in “good health” – that number is down to 52 percent now that he’s campaigning against Harris.

More than half – 51 percent – of respondents in the poll, which surveyed 2,200 registered voters, said that Trump is now too old to run, compared to 44 percent who said so when he was running against Biden.

Similarly, the number of voters who believe Trump is mentally fit for the office has gone from 53 to 48 percent, a five-point decrease, as his opponent has changed.

Even Republicans want a younger president

In a fresh polling blow for Donald Trump, a majority of Republican voters have said they would prefer a president who is younger than the 78-year-old former commander-in-chief.

In a YouGov poll conducted between July 25-29, 59 percent of Republicans surveyed said they would prefer a president under the age of 75. Trump celebrated his 78th birthday in June.
