Putin/Carlson interview

Just finished watching the whole thing. Over two hours of Vladimir giving a history lesson on Russian roots and the leadup to the Ukraine quagmire.
From the eighth century until today he gave a fascinating account of where Russia came from and what had happened to her over the centuries. With no teleprompter or notes, he displayed an amazing memory of facts and dates of every major change of borders or circumstance and left Tucker largely speechless.
Thoroughly enjoyable. Immensely enlightening. Occasionally funny. Profound moments of poignancy.
As an example, Tucker asks how the war will effect the people after it ends. Putin tells him that over time all the people will heal and come back together. And then tells of a hopelessly surrounded squad of Ukrainian soldiers, beckoned to lay down their arms and surrender, shouting back "We are Russian, we never surrender!". And perishing.
A must watch.

Tucker fell completely silent, as though tuckered out.
Putin then asks, "Shall we end it here then? Or do you have anything else?"
All Tucker could do was nod.

Here’s the transcript. I skipped the long talk about the history of Ukraine and Russia. But it goes back to the 8th century.

How did people rate Tucker? I’ve seen good and bad.

@snoopydawg was long, but it puts today's Russia into perspective. If their history was ignored or forgotten, nobody could understand their culture or motives. I think the US, created in 1776, has so little history, we can all memorize the highlights in 2 minutes or less.
I thought the facial expressions and body language of Tucker and Putin were as fascinating as what they were saying. Both of these men have spy training or even work experience. There were many "tells".

I kept imagining Joe Biden sitting on the other side of Tucker, waiting for his turn to speak in rebuttal, flailing without the help of a teleprompter, or a moderator lobbing softball questions.

Biden’s vacuity stands in stark contrast to Putin’s competence, intelligence and mastery of both relevant history and his overall demeanor. We are most fortunate that Biden is only a flaccid sock puppet playing a role, albeit very badly.

However, the bad news is now abundantly clear that unelected ‘entities’ actually make all significant decisions in the US, in service of “monied interests” rather than the needs of the general population. We can not vote our way out of our precarious situation and Money has no intention to sacrifice its own interests on the altar of an actual democracy.

Article 25 may retire Biden, but there is no reason for us to expect anything other than another sham leader in the Oval Office.

Article 25 may retire Biden, but there is no reason for us to expect anything other than another sham leader in the Oval Office.

In fact, mentally defective presidents have been the wind under the wings of Neocons, who are now embedded in key strategic roles throughout the Federal government. Many were swept in doing the Reagan years. This goes hand-in-hand with the legal reliance on a 'fetish' Constitution that is centuries out of date. It has brought far more harm to the United States than good. There is nothing in it that offers a political solution to the spiraling disenfranchisement of the people. The ethical and moral corruption within the Federal Government has erased the US culture entirely, and replaced it with a cognitive dissonance that enables people to more easily lie to themselves.

Americans are sometimes described as a deeply insecure People. They express a constant fear that rival nations somewhere in the world are making plans to attack the US and seize everything that we own. (Just as the founders of the US had done to the indigenous peoples who had earlier occupied the continent for thousands of years.)

These paranoid projections seem to afflict most US Leaders. The Leaders, in turn, recently told Americans that if Ukraine does not stop Russia in Ukraine, that Russia would sweep across Europe and conquer every member country, one by one. US leaders insist that Russia is determined to reestablish the Soviet Union and force a communist economy on everyone. Thus, Americans rallied loudly to send Ukraine every nation-destroying weapon that the US military could spare. And to issue massive purchase orders with the US defense industry to refill the US homeland stockpile with new weapons to protect the homeland.

The US was ecstatic when Ukraine jumped into a war against the far more powerful Russian Army. Although the number of Ukrainian fighters was rapidly decimated, American enthusiasm for this war held steady in the US. The American people have a context-free understanding of the conflict. Most know very little about the broken promises and breeched agreements that increasingly threatened sovereignty of the Russian people, leading to a Constitutional crisis there.

American democracy does not allow the People to participate in foreign policy decisions. Those issues are decided by corporations and Big Donors who contribute large sums to the to the Parties and the politicians to achieve foreign policies goals that enrich them. Nothing in the US Charter provides a political solution for this steady dissolution of the social covenant. There is no way to reverse the endemic xenophobia of Americans because these cold-war-type-fears are deliberately programmed into the minds of the People by the government in order to manipulate them into fighting and paying for US economic and military wars, world wide.

People can't protect the 'domestic' government or their own wellbeing by voting in a Federal Election because the demands of the 'US Government for Global Supremacy' will always take precedence over the wellbeing and sanity the People.
